He seems like such an awesome boss. Striving for his employees to learn and gives them all the opportunities they need.
I suspect that i would LOVE to work for Titan!
No Chips?
Just a small disappointment
Nice introduction, a trick I have done on long bores years ago... one tool up the other down both on center, removes chatter and does the job in half the time... Good to see this idea.... I love that you find and share these tips and tricks. Best of luck to you Cheers!
Be nice if there was actually some turning being done instead of just an advert for the machine
Exactly...!
( million dollar machine )
Anyone who already "understands" that the work in the chuck is an inconel based material ...should have the technical " APTITUDE " ability too interpret chip load on two opposing tools
____\/______
_____/\______
One rotation (rpm)of the material , has two tools presented into the work , affecting multiple tool passes in (twice as fast) (rpm ÷ 2 tools )...material removal
(sfm) has not changed on each too, las long as the first tool remains 100 % efficient the (chip load ) can be a ( constant ) , the same on both tools !
BEFORE any set-up time ...
Before .... "ANY WORK" IS CONSIDERED ! or even ( placed in the chuck )
The very fist consideration in any machining operation ...!
#1"WHAT IS THE COMPOSITION OF THE MATERIAL TOO BE MACHINED...!"
a. Does the material MATCH the "specifications" of the blue print or work order ?
1.Specific Material Composition
2.Size
3.Orientation ( grain direction )
boooom
oh fuck off they're talking about what pinch turning does. I personally didn't know what it meant, and i appreciate the info.
Pinch turning is basically starting the next cut right after the first and at the next depth while balance turning divides the feed between the two edges by keeping them at the exact same X and Z position.
Try SANDVIK 1020 grade inserts.. trust me.
Boss: We got some inconel that needs turned and milled
Me: Aight imma head out
Make sure you got your P code right so that it does restart at the wrong time. Been a machinist for 15 years on twin spindle milling machine like your. I hope you know what will happen with Inconel when insert get doll. I would not recommend dual OD turning on the same side if it is OD and ID not a problem.
Man this is so awesome!!! I can’t wait for that video!!
Gripped in a three jaw with that overhang! and pinch turning I wouldn’t do it without a centre especially in hard materials. IMHO.
Wooow, that looks like brass, i love brass !!
unbelievable Ttson
I would love to be programing that SMX 😍
is that a steady rest i see on the lower !?
Am I missing something here,he's talking about balanced machining and being 180 deg.apart but from what I see it looks more like 135deg.apart.I'm no expert but I wouldn't have the balls to machine it like that with the amount of grip in soft jaws if he is not going to use the tailstock.
Exactly my thoughts. If you were to take heavy cuts the turret tool would push the towards the milling head tool and at that angle it would probably try to climb at least one tool. I think I would try to start with a slightly lighter cut with the turret and go a little heavier with the upper one (If you turn the other way then head first turret second) but definitely hard jaws and a shitload of clamping pressure from preferably a 4 jaw!
Yes, when cutting blades are Inline and on opposite sides. but in that way they aren't inline and therefore never balance cutting forces!!!!!!!
Sir
I am joining this academy
He titan please upload working video
Where is the actual machining?
What inserts you using?
The wrong ones. Try SANDVIK 1020 on inconel.
@@userwl2850 Thanks!!
Great videos Titan and team! Love your channel. You have been a true inspiration and I finally submitted my first Kickstarter project. I applaud your message to the maker community and Im all about USA made products. Your tutorials are absolutely awesome! Check out my Kickstarter project "Lets Make Dodecahedron Sculptures" Let me know what you think. Boom!
Bro, that Material costs at least 2k$
What? no cutting... i wanted to hear that SKWWWEEEEEELLLLLLLL!!!
While that's a nice video, we did that in 1983 on an Okuma LC-20......
New job 9x machine
Can you put the substitutes in Spanish please !!!
El mecanizado CNC de alto nivel en español es muy raro!
Hi sir 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
Cant get that time back! All talk.. no turn
Multitask machining.....
Videos are becoming clickbait
Yeah totally, imagine having to watch a video that's less than 4 minutes long to get to the part where they clearly say that there will be a tutorial (FULL VIDEO) for FREE?! Damn, how dare they . Providing us with free videos and sneakpeaks on interesting cnc machining. Unbelievable.
