    Can we divide it by 8 and the angle got will joint for 2 point and take the distance from 1to2 in rounder and bisects it for 8 parts

      I even thought the same when i was studying.
      But it was full of error at the end.
      Try it and i am sure u will understand why i dont use that method...

    Please solve this question..
    A hexagonal pyramid side of base 25 mm and length of Axis 70 mm is kept on the ground on its base with one its base edges perpendicular to VP. It is cut by an AIP inclined at 45 degree to the base and cutting the axis at 47 mm from the base. Draw the development of the lateral surface of the pyramid

    is it necessary to find the angle 138.5??? can i measure the length of 1-2 2-3 3-4 using compass from top view.... and cut it on the development surface?

    Sir Apne jo yo point cut Kiya hai dotted wala wo initially 2'8' se Kiya ya hamein waha se hi use cut karna hai ya hum 1' se bhi kar sakte hai.....?????

    Sir Why do you always cut The object at an angle of 60 degrees ? Like after bisecting the axis ...v cut. At an angle of 60? Y ?

    A right Circular cone of diameter 100mm and height 100mm restimg on HP on its base. A Horizontal square hole of side 50mm is cut in the cone in such a way that the axis of hole intersect the axis of cone at distance of 20mm from base. Draw The Development Of the lateral surface of cone of side of hole are equally inclined to HP. Plz Solve This.

    a vertical funnel is made by joining a frustum of cone of top diameter 60mm base diameter 30mm and axis 25mm long with another frustum of cone of top diameter 30mm base diameter 15mm and axis 50mm long.the lowest end of the funnel is bevelled off by an auxiliary inclined plane, inclined at 30 degree to the hp .draw the development of the funnel.

    I have tried it with 70 mm long axis at angle 45 degree. But mine line is not intersecting the base. Is it okay or it must cut the base also ? Please clarify.

    What if we divide circle in 12 parts? How come we are able to built its developed surface then? PS: I got exam tomorrow so expecting reply soonish! ty :)

      You can go for 12 divisions....
      No issues the process is still going to be same....
      I would suggest you to opt for 8 divisions as it takes relatively less time.........
      Anyway its your choice.....

      Take 12 parts, then when you make 138.5 degree arc, just divide it into 12 parts instead of 8

    Sir, in some cases we divide the top view into 12 parts. I divided it into 8 equal parts and drew! But the development was a little bit different! How will we know the correct way to divide! Expecting a faster reply(Having a test tomorrow:))

      I believe its the arc that you are talking about.
      It starts with simple bisection in 2parts...
