M156 is the c63 engine the amg gt3 uses a further developed sls engine and its called the m159 engine but thats probely way to expensive so a tuned m156 would do the job and yes please build the gt3 race car with a 6.2 engine

Put an LS into the AMG, would still be a V8, they're not very expensive, they can make heaps of power and would sound a lot better than the original V8.
Dave......the V8 in the 2004 Ford GT is 45k from Ford or 35k used. The V6 in the 2018 is 95k from Ford directly. 25k for a Mercedes V8 sounds pretty cheap compared to other companies.

Yes this is a norm on a dealership, instead of refurbishing the engine themselves they just replace the engine, also not every dealership has qualified technicians in engine overhauls... You probably could LS swap it as it's cheaper, but I am not a fan of swaps...
