Alot of you newcomers on Grime need schooling about emceeing etc. These lot are emcees and transitioned into rappers (except Wretch was a rapper since forever). Tinchy, Ghetts, Rapid etc all used to emcee to UKG before Grime came along. So Solid, Heartless and Pay As You Go are the original UK Garage crews of the hue day and these lot came a little later.
If Pay As You Go didn't hold the door for East to come through. Then Grime would of just been like Dubstep with purely beats and no emcees at all. All these emcees used to emcee to DnB and we all know that the bpm is like 170 or faster lol. Jungle to Grime - It's a London/England thing.
