Ever since you got me introduced to semi open worlds thru the apartment feature I haven’t had many single family homes. I only play with apartments now 😂😂😂
Is there a sunrise and sunset mod for the sims 2? The instant transitions to day and night make the game unimmersive as the Sims 1, 3 and 4 have sunrise and sunset already present in their base games. The Sims 2 is the only game that doesn’t have that feature and breaks the realism compared to all the other little details already present in the Sims 2 like water physics, hair physics and sims reacting to sprinklers.
@@1imperfect3kontra18I was actually working on a better dawn/dusk colors together with more realistic cloudy lot loghting. Apparently light can leak indoors from the windows and be cast on floors walls and objects, but it was disabled by EA and I enabled it and played around with it and it looked gorgeous. I should finish it one day and release it.
Tbh i’m very uncultured when it comes to graphics mods so I wouldn’t know, glad to see people have come up with some suggestions in the replies though 😊
If i ever make another Sims 2 mod showcase, i'll make sure to include a longer segment on it. So far i think it's a very useful mod with some much needed quality-of-life improvements, such as online shopping, skills and badges learning, banking, chatting with the Secret Society members etc. But ngl I try not to use it too much because it does feel a bit cheaty lmao, would still recommend tho
Moniques Hacked computer is a staple of my gameplay. I make sure every single household has one because I’m not able to manage my house without it now. It’s so helpful

It is a very interesting mod that allows a player to play the playable sims as being a landlord of apartment lots and other types residential lots in the Sims 2 (And collecting incomes from them)
@@crazymarq4390 Please do try and test it as a showcase. Not every mod is perfect. I hope those two mods would work enough to satisfy the purpose of them being made. And if they work pretty fine enough. They can give more joy and pleasure of playing the Sims 2 which we all love dearly.

I'm great, thank you :) I'd be wary of using it with the Story Progression mod and mods that shorten semesters but other than that, there should be no major conflicts. Though I suggest backing up your files regardless, just in case

Sort of haha, here's a link to some peds that I believe were extracted from SimPe and turned into safe peds: www.mediafire.com/file/sk3rlpaua7pw5a4/SavedSims.rar/file Not every unique Sim is there, but the folder includes the Therapist, Social Worker, Mrs. Crumplebottom, Knut Futa etc. Honestly, I'm not even sure where I got this folder from, it's been on my pc for ages. Just put the file of whichever Sim you want into the Downloads folder and they'll appear in CAS. These should definitely be safe because the Sim will show up as a preset in CAS, which means they'll act as a normal Sim in gameplay (meaning you're not risking game corruption)
downloaded mods usually come in a zip file, so unzip them first. the file name should end with a ".package". once you unzip them find your sims 2 folder, then find the "downloads" subfolder inside that sims 2 folder, drag the .package file in there and you're done. some mods don't work or are incompatible when used together so be careful and always check if one mod should be used along with another mod. that's it for the most part.
Yeah just like the commenter above said, unzip the files and move them into the Downloads folder (Documents - EA Games - The Sims 2 - Downloads). When it comes to Sims and lots, those are usually installed by just clicking on the file and clicking “Install” when it asks you if you want to install the following content. I hope this helps, let me know if you need any help because ik this all sounds pretty complicated at first

I believe there is. It's called the dawn/dusk lighting mod or something like that 🤔
