Oh shoot I had no idea about the disabled bus seat thing. I've seen bus drivers allowing people to sit in those spots as long as nobody needed it, as long as they moved when someone who needed it came along. I had no idea they are supposed to be kept empty all the time. My apologies. 😭😭😭😭

It must be different for different bus companies. The one I work at in Ohio the front few seats are Priority seats for Elderly and disabled. Anyone can sit there but if some mentioned above gets on the bus the driver can ask you to move for them.

There is something called a "sugar tong cast." They have an Ace bandage on the skin, a plaster cast that goes around the elbow and down each side of the arm. Think "U" shaped. The tong has velcro around it to lock it on. You CAN take it off, but it's not supportive if it's off. I know this because I broke my wrist falling off a 3-foot high porch with a toddler on my hip. I "hip-hefted" her onto my left hip and there wasn't much porch under my right foot and I fell off. I tried to catch myself with my right hand and ended up breaking the little bones in my wrist under my thumb. I was six weeks in that cast. I could remove it for no more than 10 minutes, just to take a shower three times a week. My sister had to put the wrap back on for me and help with replacing the cast. So, OP can have a cast that is removable, but that teacher needed to shut her pie hole and the substitute needed to be removed from the sub list.
And, I can totally understand the girl on the bus. I have MS (and fibromyalgia) and there are just times you can't move. We look totally fine, but looks don't show everything going on. If anyone wants to know how it feels, there's a website with The Spoon Theory written by Christine Miserandino that is a wonderful explanation of people with hidden illnesses.

I had a similar experience as the first op. I was taking my daughter (then 3) to the ER on the bus and encountered a Karen in the wild. It took all I had to just keep my head down and my mouth shut. I finally snapped and asked (rather loudly) for her to move along before I moved her along. (I was in NO mood at that point and was already in full on panic mode worrying about my daughter and getting her to the hospital) Thank God the bus driver is one I've known for years and Karen ended up getting booted off the bus. This was 12 years ago. I don't take the bus anymore. (Anxiety sucks)

Did she really think that OP would just let her do what she wanted and NOT get mad? Someone needs to call the mad house and see if they're missing a "guest", and if so, let them know where she is. Story 4: I will never understand how teachers who decide that it's a great idea to feud with their students can get and keep their jobs as teachers. Your a grown ass adult and they are a child. Act your freaking age. Even if you have a student who actually doesn't behave well just administer the appropriate discipline and let it go. And you definitely shouldn't use your power to bully students with disabilities/ injuries. How are you a teacher when you behave like that? I don't even like kids and I wouldn't even consider treating kids like that.

My own bus story, I was on my day off but had to go to court on a work related matter I went to my job site to pick up my paperwork and court disposition form, and went to take the bus that went to the court, ( which happened to be in the Chicago Police HQ) The bus hadn't gone more than three stops, before An entitled jerk got on, and proceeded to light a huge, and extremely foul smelling cigar! ( smoking is forbidden on CTA buses and trains) At this point a very diminutive, and well dressed young woman approached him, and in a very no nonsense manner requested that he put the cigar out, he took a deep draw, and then blew the smoke directly into her face, and told her to duck off he was going to enjoy his smoke! Game on! She informed him, that he was under arrest, and he took a swing at her, bad mistake! In the blink of an eye, the guy was eating floor mat! The young lady was not only a police detective, but an unarmed combat instructor, at the police academy! The bus driver had already radioed for help, so when the bus pulled up at Police HQ it was met by a swarm of police officers, who were none too gentle, in removing said jerk from the bus, and taking him straight to booking. It was the only time I've ever seen a police officer get a standing ovation from the riders of a crowded bus!

On the last story, they need to kick that teacher out before they escalate the bullying...and I say this because I lived through my sister being bullied on HS by a teacher.
As in OP's story, my sis wasn't the first or the last one to endure what that POS liked to do. We had several meetings with the teacher and directives over the issue and nothing was done (we even thought of changing schools but sis didn't want it because she would lost her friends on the 2 last years of HS).
We graduated and like 3 years later another girl became the target...but this time, the mother was not happy to endure the multiple parent teacher reunions were this AH told her how bad her girl was, and left the room on one. Teacher got mad and walked after her berating both of them, until she decided to take her frustration out by pushing the mom over the stairs.
The woman end up badly hurt, with several witnesses because this happened over a recess.. and of course she demanded the school and the AH teacher.
Teacher reached an agreement to quit in order to save face to the school, but she had to sell everything to pay for her trials, and of course, can't ever be a teacher again becasuse of her records.
So yeah, justice was done, but it required for a parent to suffer multiple life risk injuries and have several children traumatized because of seeing this aggression.

Story Two: I live in a house with more room than I need as a single person. If anyone tried to tell me they wanted to switch, I would say heck no. You could have gotten this place yourself, and if you hate your roommate, then find somewhere else, but not my house.
Story Three: The mother in this story is worse than most I've heard. She has enabled OB to become the fat 30 something man baby he became, and instead of lighting a fire under his ass and being a parent, she actually expects her other child to stop living a good, healthy life? Yeah no. Fuck that.
Story Four: I. Hate. School. That's the long and short of it. I was sitting on the asphalt crying and my teacher came over to me and rudely told me to get up. I told her my arm hurt and held it up to show her and she grabbed me by that arm and pulled me up. Of course that had worsened the fracture. I asked if I could go to the nurse and she refused and sent me to the classroom to run cold water over it. An hour later I'm still in the classroom and still crying. She finally allowed me to go to the nurse who called my stepmom to come get me. Stepmom immediately took me to the hospital for xrays and a cast. I told stepmom how the teacher had grabbed and pulled me by my broken arm. She was absolutely livid. I had the joy of watching her verbally rip the teacher a new one, after she tore into the principal first for the behavior of his teacher. I never loved my stepmom more!
