Waters of Sa Mesa Longa in San Vero Milis ~ 28 June 2018 | Travel in Sardinia

We explore the crystal clear waters of the enchanting town of Sa Mesa Longa in San Vero Milis.
Its waters are crystal clear and its changing colors vary from the blue of the sea and the sky to the green of the aquatic plants.
Its name in Sardinian means "the long table"; it takes its name from the natural sandstone barrier which is only a few dozen meters from the shore and which protects the northern part of the beach from waves and currents.
These conditions have created a real natural pool with a sandy bottom and shallow inside, but rocky and rich in flora and fauna outside.
The barrier can be easily reached by swimming from the beach; it is about 200 meters long and a few meters wide in the part closest to the surface.
Once you reach it, you will notice flat rocks immersed a few centimeters from the water surface and covered with marine plants.
With the necessary care, you can walk them on foot and seem to walk on the water!
