Man I love those old big block, barn door burbans! Sweet that it still has the factory radio. Some pretty amazing ingenuity went in to the design of that trailer!
Awesome rig! It kinda functions as a center post car lift, which has gotta be handy when you are doing wheel and brake work. I enjoy see self designed stuff actually get built and used. Cheers
I would love to find one of those old brake actuators that still worked. Went to find one new and apparently liability from faulty installs killed them.
I'll tell you what I'm a trained machinist/ fabricator and I'll tell you you would meet very few people with the technical intelligence to figure all that out and make that work the way you did, awesome job
Can you haul double trailers in Texas? Looks like you would hook the camper in the hitch of the crawler? You don’t get to have a ‘85 in NY without putting it up for the winter. 👍 Kc
Yes you can pull doubles in texas and all surrounding stated. And yes the crawler has a hitch receiver and a light plug that's connected to the trailer/Suburban via the crawlers electrical system.
I didn't have the hood tied down on the crawler and it flew open. Unfortunately its happened a couple of times. It may need a little hammer maintnance straighten it out. lol.

Thanks man.
That is pretty slick!
Thanks!
now that is damn cool
It gets a lot of looks going down the road.
That's awesome. What size axle on the trailer?
7K with 235/65r16 10 ply tires. Seems like the axle weight was 5300lbs with only the crawler.
Will it wag due to too much loading to the rear of the trailer?

I saw a similar setup at DTC this year
Lord lord you are the shits lol 😂😂😂😂
Anyone know if it's a 2wd or 4wd Chevy?
He said it’s a C 2500 and I don’t see a floor shifter…2wd
It 2wd. I don't think they offered a big block in a 4x4 square body suburban. If they did it was in the last couple of years.
What was that bang? I could not make out what she said... :)

@@TheZachLife Thanks! I hate to be curious...
