Nice one Darren excellent vid. Hats off to yu mate. Its a fact you can walk a trail backwards quicker than I could do it forward. Your a machine mate, solid. Lovely views, thanks for sharing and putting together. Dave aka wackyswanderings. Looking forward to seeing next episode. Well done mate. Atb Dave
I walked Offa's Dyke Path in June as my first solo + camping trip and I'm already looking for a new walk next year because I had such a great time in Wales (even if just the border, aha). This one's looking right up my alley, thanks for the informative video!
Hi again. Greetings from South Wales! Really enjoyed this video and well done for tackling the Welsh names and pronunciations so well. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Wonderful video as always Darren. Looking forward to this series. We are staying in a cottage near Tal-y-llyn in September so I’m hoping to squeeze a few hours to get to the top of Cadir Idris. Cheers for sharing your journey with us. 😀🥾⛰🏴
I love the way you make your videos and this is a lovely one. Fair play to you for having a go at trying to pronounce our Welsh mountain names and for acknowledging that you were probably getting them wrong. You were, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment at all. Fair play to you!
I think your start point is pronounced ABBER and not Aber, but I will be converted to your pronunciation by a more local comment provider. Good Luck on your Hike, my Hiking days are now over due to knee problems that started a week before my retirement. Tony in Essex (an EX Hiker)
@@darrencurtisuk Sad to say I can no longer go hiking myself but I still enjoy watching others. Retired approx 6 months and now struggling to walk, so I spend my time on YT watching others do the walking. Tony in Essex.
Great video Darren. Thanks for sharing. I feel inspired to try this maybe next spring! Can I ask, what month did you do it? Weather looked great. Thanks and ATB George
I’m doing this on Wednesday- I have a late start but giving myself 3hours and hoping to get to ffridd rhosfarch by 19.30 to camp. I note you got to tarren hendre in two and a half hours! We’re you flying or should I be a bit more realistic with my plans?
You made it look relatively easy, but that was a bloody hard days walking mate! Fair play and thanks for taking us along. 👏
I think, I've developed some summer plans. Lovely video I found it really calming too.

Great film as usual Darren. And yes, you properly murdered the Welsh pronunciation 😂. I think I will have to do this walk as it is on my doorstep.
Haha, I even went on Google translate in my somewhat rushed preparation to try to help 😁
Looks like it's gonna be an epic hike. I love Cadair Idris. Looking forward to the rest. Cheers
Cheers pal 😎

It’s not a route that’s been on my radar, but sounds like it’ll be a cracker. Thanks as always for taking us along with you Darren.
It promised so much... 😢
Thanks for taking the time to comment 👌

Hiya, this was June
I’m guessing this is the mountain route of the snowdonia way?

There was quite a bit of track / road walking to begin with which helps with the pace! Good luck buddy
@@darrencurtisuk thank you! Your videos are helping a lot with my planning 👍🏻
I hope the weather is kind
😊👌
Thinking of doing this walk where did u get ur guide book from ?
Amazon. Hope you prepare better than I did!
So I presume next upload you’ll either be reciting poetry, walking like a mad man or there won’t be a next upload………. 😬
🤣
