I'll never forget going to The Chapel on your first Sunday in Beachwood in 1985. I was a brand new Christian, invited by Linda Fox. Then we were in Flocks with you. 33 years ago! You will always be my pastor. Thank you Alistair for being a good and faithful servant -

Interesting about wanting to put a graveyard into the chapel design. American churches have gotten away from that and I’d like to see it return.
    💕Love Alestair’s sense of humor.

Thank you Dr Begg!! I love your sermons and books. Your Love of "Abba", "Father", has convicted me to make my relationship with Jesus #1. And The Kingdom of God, it has started!! God bless you for the sacrifices you have made.

Pastor Begg you are one of my favorite pastors. The sound doctrine you present is just so amazing. The series you taught about Joseph in the Book of Genesis is one of my favorites. May God continue to bless you.

To the question about sending people to other places in the world instead of them going to conferences in nice buildings, I say the need is just as great in your own home town as anywhere. He stated that shouldn't they go where the need is disparate. What a minute, just because America is wealthy does that mean the need isn't disparate. It imply's that Gods work is contingent on what people do instead of people being where God puts them. People need to be saved next door not just half way around the world. God will work where he works. He knows when the fields are white for harvest. Because of the teachings of Alistair Begg I have truly come to the understanding of the grace that has saved me. God will save who he will whether they have a nice building or not or whether they have an American preacher. He nailed it on the head when he made it clear that the Gospel doesn't flow from America and that we need to go and save the world. God is saving who he will save even if it's in a hut and if I lived in a hut he would saved me without Alistair Begg . Jingoism that is the word for it.

The Spurgeon quote at the end reminded me of my favorite Billy Graham story:
“I heard about a man who was supposed to preach for 20 minutes and he spoke for 30 and 40 and 50. An hour and 20 minutes later he was still speaking. The man who introduced him couldn’t stand it any longer and he picked up a gavel and threw it at the speaker. It missed the speaker and hit a man in the front row, and as the man in the front row was going into subconsciousness, he said, ‘Hit me again, I can still hear him.’”
-Billy Graham at the 1965 Houston Crusade

I like Alistair because he is real and honest. I also wonder if he is related to Sir Paul.

Most of the best missionaries in San Salvador have had to go home to convince U.S. churches to support them. Many are from Ohio, like Britney and Bobby, who work with young people, teaching the young people who are now too old to be in a home for children. I don’t think Britney and Bobby would stop working if they didn’t have to go home to raise support. They are so amazing, teaching even things like fixing the roof of an elderly couple next to the youth center in Nejapa or feeding those whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged by the flood as thanksgiving for the fact that the center was spared. Look out for Rachel and Justin who are moving back to Ohio with several of the youth who began with them as children and were part of the Union Church community in San Salvador.

I think the best way to learn is to teach, maybe @90% retention compared with 10% for memorization?

Also, agree with you about Facebook. It does way more harm than good. I, too, am scared of it and want no part of it. Neanderthal, for sure!

Was this conference limited to men only or were women welcomed to attend, also?? Thought I only saw men in the audience, but then one of the speakers addressed both men AND women. Just wondering…
