@@Mandrarinethat source is wrong. XGALX is a label of Avex. It’s not affiliated but it’s 100% owned by Avex, and Simon is an employee of Avex, too.
Did you watch XTRA XTRA? They have dancing (not sure about singing, we never see it) lessons during the korean training camp.
Why would I believe what anyone says here when it seems wrong, and not believe a website dedicated to k-pop instead?

The MV is only part of the song. The full audio version includes XG's rap verses and more vocals. A lot of reactors have been doing both versions. You def want to check out the full version. GRL GVNG debuted at #1 on the BILLBOARD Hottest Songs a couple days ago. As an old skool B-BOY myself i havent seen a music video of this quality in i cant even remember how long. It deserves a MV of the year nomination. Then add to it that GRL GVNG (GIRL GANG) is an absolute banger and its 10+/10. XG is just in a league of their own no girl group does it like XG. They are the future like Jackson Wang said
The acronym of XG is actually for Xtraordinary Girls. They're a Japanese girl group based in South Korea, all of their members are Japanese two of them being half.
And for the record, XG prefers not to be called a K-pop act but a “global girl group.”

As always, great job guys - love your channel. That said, I wanted to let you know there is a 3 plus minute long version of this song that is the complete version so you can hear all the lyrics. At first I didn't like the shortness of the MV but it was because it was so well done that I wanted more of it (even though it felt complete). I have the video on constant replay. These ladies are incredibly talented and I can't wait for the EP. Keep up the good work gents!

The Executive Producer, Simon explained that the Artist he collaborated with came up with the Space Alien 👽 concept five years ago. This was before XG “Xtraordinary Girls” were a debuted group. It makes since having the distinction which is both neither K-Pop nor J-Pop. Drawing from both and therefore freeing themselves from the usual constraints.
However, starting a new genre is not easy. You don't have the benefit of pulling from either fanbase on it's own. Although Babymetal did the same with Kawaii Metal so their probably thinking what the hell let's go for it!!

Simon calls it X-pop because as foreigners in Korea they cannot call themselves K-pop. That doesn't mean other people can't call them K-pop. We need to stop trying to correct people. XG is all things, and one of those things is K-pop.

Love your guys reacts! Always very insightful and honest. I do believe this short MV should be viewed more as a teaser. I would much rather have an amazing short MV than a full one that is just ok. Not to mention, people are talking about it and this is good for the algo.
