@@sharkylovesyou Hey! If you have questions about stretching, I HIGHLY recomend you go watch zmashd seriess of videos on ear stretching. @@sharkylovesyou tapers should be used specifically for stretching, but not worn as jewellery. If you have tapers in as jewellery, it can and most often does cause the hole to be uneven, therefore you'll be unable to wear Tunnels and plugs without re-stretching your ears, and can often cause blow-outs. However, tapers are in fact very good for stretching, as long as they are replaced with Tunnels/plugs after a few hours. I hope this helped ✌️
@@tear2990 What about smaller sizes? One of my 10G tunnels fell into the sink and I can only wear a taper or else I won't be able to stretch, cause it took me 3 months to get my stretching kit and I cannot get a new 10G tunnel. Can wearing a taper cause an infection? Can the weight of a 10G taper cause uneven lobes? :/
I have just bought an acrylic spirals kit, and now I'm reading that it isn't good T__T but I love how they look and I want to stretch my ears with it but I don't want to have problems in my ears, what I should do?
then get stainless steel tapers. Don't stretch with the acrylic spirals because it containts chemicals in which could cause a blowout. Once it's healed, you can use it as jewelry. By the way, don't use tapers as jewelry unless you want your ears to look odd. @Crixel
Acrylic is fine to stretch with, I don’t know what the problem is. Most people just say this because that is what they heard online without lookin to deep into the actual facts. The reason people say this in the first place is because acrylic has tiny pours that your skin can grow in, but if you just stretch with them and then put in your plugs you will be fine.
It’s not that it’s bad it’s that surgical steel is way better. Acrylic can’t be sterilized, and it’s less smooth than steel. Acrylic is still a good cheap option for stretching. Steel is just way better.
This is false. You are the one who clearly didnt do research. Its porous, can't be sterilized properly (or at all really) and just overall causes a TON of problems for a MAJORITY of people. Much like nickel, most people have a bad reaction to it. AND tapers are only meant to GUIDE jewlrey in, not actively stretch your ears. It is also not jewlrey like you said, because it can cause an uneven stretched piercing. If it doesn't go in easily, then you are not ready to size up. You only EVER put tapers or jewlrey in if it is easy. There should be no pain, permanent redness (redness is normal for pretty much everyone when even just touching their ears, it just shouldn't STAY red for a long time) itchiness, puss or crusts, or stench. Another reason stretching so fast is bad is because in the long run stretching up (or downsizing!) Will be VERY difficult because you will have accumulated so much scar tissue from making tears in your skin from stretching so fast. Scar tissue doesn't stretch or downsize hardly at all or at least with no difficulty compared to healthy tissue. Hope this all makes sense, any more questions just ask! ☺ From: an intern at a piercing studio and the help of my uncle who is a nurse (we both have stretched ears as well!)

Oh do we have to use bondage tape ? because I have never felt the need to use it to stretch my ears. My ears seem fine ?? Also Is it ok to stretch from acrylic I never leave them inside but just to stretch it? I cant afford the steel one just yet
I want to stretch my ears but one thing i dont get. When you put in a stretcher, how long do you need to have it in before your ear is stretched to that size?
You dont leave the taper in at all. As soon as you through with the taper, followthrough with the jewelry. DO NOT leave taper in as this will stretch your ears unevenly
I really want to stretch my ears! but my question is, can i just leave the tapers in until i'm going to stretch it again? Because the tunnels are pretty expensivev. so is it okay if i just leave the tapers in? and they just stay there until i'm stretching them again. - Sorry for my bad english! :))
Tapers are not meant to be worn as jewellery, they get caught on hair/clothes easily which can ruin the healing process & can also cause issues later on. You can get stainless /surgical steel tunnel-type plugs on ebay, they are really cheap so I'd take a look there 😊
I've been using just tapers in my ear. I'm on 6g right now and now I'm worried Cuz nobody told me I HAD TO use plugs they said I can just use tapers if I want until I get to the size i want to. I want to be 00
So um what's good to put on after putting a taper in to sooth the pain? 😂 I have done this a lot and should be used to how the pain feels but I'm still not. My ear is now red and throbbing🤣
It's not a good sign... you went to the next size too early... please leave at least one month between sizes to have a nice hole without too much complication... To soothe the pain you can always take some ice wrapped in a clean plastic bag and then put it on your ear !
i have a question about the tapers (0:24). i'm at the 5th taper right now (down to up). and i want to size up but the 6th taper is so much bigger than the 5th and i can't get it in? can anyone help me xD
My ears consistently get infected if I leave the taper in for more then 9-12 hours it’s never recommended to sleep with them in you should try to get the actual gague in within the day you stretch if possible
It depends on the elasticity of your ears, everyone's ears are different. Mine are very stretchy but i know people who have trouble stretching their ears.
I'm probably being really dosey here but if anyone could answer a question id be really grateful 🤍 I bought a taper set online as ive had my lobes pierced since childhood and wanted to stretch the first few tapers went through with no problems at all however I'm currently stuck between two taper one slides through with no problems and the next size will only go half way before starting to hurt, do i leave the taper in and slowly slide it in over time or ? Ive read loads of things about blow outs and stopping if yiu feel pain and not leaving tapers in so been left abit confused 🙈
Doesn't make it a good or credible way to stretch. Something that happend to work for you our of luck doesn't mean it will work for everyone else. And ESPECIALLY doesn't mean its safe over all l will leave you with the healthiest ears. But good luck.
I'm useing acrylic tapers upto a 4g right now hopeing to get to a 2g by end of weekend......... Stings like a bitch though. I can keep acrylic in my ears with no issue if u keep them cleaned regularly.
George Jimenez same I’m going to use it for the three stretches then I’m going to get steel ones but people use acrylic all the time even though it’s not good but I’m going to at least try it until I can get steel ones if it doesn’t work then I’ll take them out until I get steel haha no big deal
George Jimenez that’s good and do it for as long as you want but I probably would go with steel whenever you can get it because the acrylic realises toxins but yeah I’m starting today with acrylic
i'm at a 8g right now planing to get to a 6g and stop stretching once i get to a 00g but the resistance that my ear is putting up is real i plan on waiting another month before i try to get the taper in again because forcing it is pretty irresponsible i use stretching balm and oils as well i also i used vaseline when i first began to stretch because i have a stainless steel kit is it safe to begin the taping method going into a 6g on a taper pls respond thank you.
Question for literally ANYONE , while stretching did anyone experience a white ring of skin come out the back of your ear ?? If so what the hell do you do next ?! I am currently at a 10g because I had sized down for that reason .
It might be the healing process of your previous streatching that left dead white cells and so this "ring of skin" ! if it smells, it's definitly that. If not, you might have injured your ear by having stretched your ear to the next size too early...
It's fun knowing how old a video is just by this song

I would love a video like this but for the face/cheeks. I have my dimple:cheeks done. My piercer pierced them with a 16 gauge which I later found out is a red flag . Now it’s impossible to find any jewelry that fits bc it’s either too long or too small since it’s labret jewelry. I’m in a sticky predicament lol
What size are you in the video? Also can you keep tappers in if you have no other jewlery?
NO ABSOLUTELY NOT- Tapers are not jewelry and will lead to blowouts
so i just got my kit but the smallest is 14g and it has a pinch to it when i get the tip in. do i get a smaller size?
what do i do if i don’t have any tunnels? the only thing i have are O rings & the tapers and i’m going through a situation where I can’t just go out and buy tunnels.
I just stretch my ears earlier today , my ears was already at 14g almost a 12g can fit in but if it didn’t go in smoothly it’s almost the same as stretching too fast do I stuck with the 12g my ears been stretching from long hoop earring over the ears caused my ear to stretch I skipped the 14 because they kept falling out so I just started with the 12g
I want to stretch my ears but I really don't know how big I want them
So, I just started stretching , it hurts to put it in a little less than halfway, do I wait? Or just push it to the end? 👀💀
how long do you leave the gauge in?
Till you eat is ready to stretch to the next size typically north than a month
Also don’t leave tapers in your ear at all
I’m so confused other videos are saying leave the taper in for ten minutes and then some are saying leave it for a few days.... I just bought a kit and I’m soooo confused
Tapers are tools, not jewelry. Not meant to be worn at all.
@@Ett.Gammalt.Bergtroll thank you! I just discovered this and have to start all over I tore my ears and they got infected. Hopefully I do it right this time once they heal
I might be dumb but it's my first time stretching how long do you leave a stainless steel stretcher tool in?
Untill the burning stops
Wait so...you just leave the big taper thing in your ear?
Oh do we have to use bondage tape ? because I have never felt the need to use it to stretch my ears. My ears seem fine ??
Also Is it ok to stretch from acrylic I never leave them inside but just to stretch it? I cant afford the steel one just yet
I want to stretch my ears but one thing i dont get. When you put in a stretcher, how long do you need to have it in before your ear is stretched to that size?
You dont leave the taper in at all. As soon as you through with the taper, followthrough with the jewelry. DO NOT leave taper in as this will stretch your ears unevenly
@@spiritbox9145 the tapers it’s self looks so much better as jewelry
Thank you i wanna get my ears stretched so ima do it myself :)
What size are your ears at? (:
In this video they are 10mm :)
+Daisy Hearn thanks :)
You can get stainless /surgical steel tunnel-type plugs on ebay, they are really cheap so I'd take a look there 😊
thanks! i'm going to look on ebay! :))
go on amazon they sell stretch kits it's 20$ and you get 36 peices tapers and tunnels for each size from 14g to 00g
Andrew Bixby that’s what I did. Started small now I’m at 0g/8mm and I just bought another kit to go from 8mm to 25mm.
Do I need plugs or can I just wear the tapers
so was i not supposed to take the tapper out the first day?
that’s also fine !!
ur actually supposed to switch it because tappers stretch unevenly so leaving them in could be an issue
I've been using just tapers in my ear. I'm on 6g right now and now I'm worried Cuz nobody told me I HAD TO use plugs they said I can just use tapers if I want until I get to the size i want to. I want to be 00
I just started and the people I got them from said I can use tapers until I get to the size I want aaaaa
I did that 15 yrs ago & my lobes are fine. Lol. Probably not a good idea but hey we didn't have vids like these back then
Lol i had a friend be like "leave your tapers in for a couple of days." 🙄
So glad i was informed beforehand
So um what's good to put on after putting a taper in to sooth the pain? 😂 I have done this a lot and should be used to how the pain feels but I'm still not. My ear is now red and throbbing🤣
It's not a good sign... you went to the next size too early... please leave at least one month between sizes to have a nice hole without too much complication... To soothe the pain you can always take some ice wrapped in a clean plastic bag and then put it on your ear !
dont jump sizes
@@nick-wi6et I didn't jump sizes. My ear was ready to move up to the next size but it still hurt. My ears are also very sensitive to some things so
@@ayrabellanorris6355 a taper is gonna make your ear hurt more because the weight distribution isnt even
What size are you now? // well in this video
i used acrylic to stretch and I use taper as jewelry . ooops
I'm up to an 8g atm , feel like ineed some tips , it's getting real now lol
i have a question about the tapers (0:24). i'm at the 5th taper right now (down to up). and i want to size up but the 6th taper is so much bigger than the 5th and i can't get it in? can anyone help me xD
wait longer
Wooow a fellow ARMY 👋😁
Tape....
No wonder i always had a blowout, i left the taper in for 4 weeks
What sizes close up and leave no marks
Angel Santos double 0 because u can scratch back down if wanted if bigger than that size it will not go down
Thank you ❤
I'm about to start stretching Thursday my goal is a 2g or a little bigger
Thank you!!!
So I'm at 4mm and when I put out my tunnel there is a hold near to ear (tunnel hole) it's like transparent is it okay or i should put em out to heal?
My ears consistently get infected if I leave the taper in for more then 9-12 hours it’s never recommended to sleep with them in you should try to get the actual gague in within the day you stretch if possible
You're just so damn adorable! Stretching up to 00 using tapers!
Barnacles, you are very pretty ^_^
U looks cute and pretty with your plug!!🖤🌼
I just used hydrogen peroxide to clean them and just shoved Em in there currently at a 1g and took two months
I've had my tapers in for like 3 months and nothing bad has happened.
Doesn't make it a good or credible way to stretch. Something that happend to work for you our of luck doesn't mean it will work for everyone else. And ESPECIALLY doesn't mean its safe over all l will leave you with the healthiest ears. But good luck.
Thank you Wala na iba video ❤😊
I started my right ear first, and when my goal is made. I start on my left
Going up to 6g has been a challenge. Ill take the pain just dont want a blow out.
What is the tape for?
The taping method that was not explained in the video
The size you have at the beginning of this video is the size I’m going for
I'm useing acrylic tapers upto a 4g right now hopeing to get to a 2g by end of weekend......... Stings like a bitch though. I can keep acrylic in my ears with no issue if u keep them cleaned regularly.
I just orderd an acrylic streching kit lol
George Jimenez same I’m going to use it for the three stretches then I’m going to get steel ones but people use acrylic all the time even though it’s not good but I’m going to at least try it until I can get steel ones if it doesn’t work then I’ll take them out until I get steel haha no big deal
Im already stretching with acrylic and my ears arn't allergic to the acrylic
George Jimenez that’s good and do it for as long as you want but I probably would go with steel whenever you can get it because the acrylic realises toxins but yeah I’m starting today with acrylic
*casual kick starter audio* “hey guys”
I only did the tapers and did it every 2 weeks with 0 cleaning
JOE GARROW how did that go man , im thinking of doing that too
Gee Martinez well for me it went fine but if it really hurts that's a good sign to not stretch
JOE GARROW oh okay gotcha , thanks for the reply man
Gee Martinez yep I actually wouldn't go to a 0g without the tape I still havent done that but I'm taking another set of peircings to 2g
JOE GARROW thats my goal 0g
plz dont ket the taper in for more then 15 min not 4 or 2 days this is not to where on your ears
Probably better to follow the plug through straight away, the tapers are not really supposed to left in.
You didn't just tell people to put Teflon tape into their ears, holy crap!
Is that 6mm?
ty
Does it hurt?
Cheese Proxy stings a little
i'm at a 8g right now planing to get to a 6g and stop stretching once i get to a 00g but the resistance that my ear is putting up is real i plan on waiting another month before i try to get the taper in again because forcing it is pretty irresponsible i use stretching balm and oils as well i also i used vaseline when i first began to stretch because i have a stainless steel kit is it safe to begin the taping method going into a 6g on a taper pls respond thank you.
Beautiful
Question for literally ANYONE , while stretching did anyone experience a white ring of skin come out the back of your ear ?? If so what the hell do you do next ?!
I am currently at a 10g because I had sized down for that reason .
It might be the healing process of your previous streatching that left dead white cells and so this "ring of skin" ! if it smells, it's definitly that. If not, you might have injured your ear by having stretched your ear to the next size too early...
Yeah 3 years late here.. but that definitely sounded like a blowout. Hope it healed well ✌️
Can I use spirals?
Hi
Damn she's beautiful! Thanks for the info .

Do you have instagram?
if your ear kit comes with ailicone plugs, DO NOT USE THEM! your ears will go down and they will give you micro cuts!
My god, you're beautiful 😍
