When he got clean, not only did he get a second chance to live, his daughters got a second chance to have their Dad, but his rapping got a second chance to find a whole new gear. A whole new level. Precision speed razor sharp intensety of thought and intent. He was a good rapper always. A lyrical and creative genius always. Sick and twisted in all the best ways always. But when he got clean, he became untouchable. Absolutely unstoppable. He became a Rap God and one of the greatest, if not THEE greatest, to ever pick up the mic. And he actually smiles now 😁 so glad we didn't lose another genius artist, lose him, way before his time. Rip Prince (when he died I went into a month long depression), MJ, Tom Petty, Kurt Cobain, Mac Miller, Juice WRLD, Carrie Fisher, and all those we’ve lost to drugs and where drugs may have messed with their mental health and played a part in their ultimate demise. Glad Em wasn’t one of them. He beat the odds. Many haven’t been so lucky. Rip Big Proof. Gone but never forgotten.

Let's not forget Paul Rosenberg. He's been riding with Em since day one. His A1 day 1 manager. But Mr Porter as well, having to come in to a difficult situation, but he done a helluva job. Em keeps a very tight circle for the most part. Most of these guys are day 1 homies. Em is a very loyal dude so he expects that in return.

I love how hes able to pick himself up when things start getting dark for him. Almost feel like we all have a chance to do it.
It took more than 'dark times', it took being found by his daughter 5 minutes away from death according to the paramedics and Dr's, his enternal organs were failing... how she found him with 5 minutes to spare is a miracle (I don't believe in such things, but if there is one, then that'd be it).
Can't imagine what Hailey dealt with after that. I know it happens all the time, some to the point it's 'normal', but no child should ever have to find their parent(s) overdosed on the floor... he turned it around for her and his niece, not himself... if it was himself (well without Hailey he would of died that night) he would of kept going until death, he didn't stop for himself or his career.

Man, this is The Alchemist, when you just write "DJ" you don't respect him. It is as if you saw an Eminem and just wrote "this rapper". The Alchemist is one of the best producers in rap game. He made music for e.g.Jadakiss, Mobb Deep, Fat Joe, Three Six Mafia, Kool G Rap or CNN.
If this was a year long documentary, I'd still watch it..it's just something about EM that you can never get bored looking at his face❤️

I was at this concert in 2011. The Recovery tour, saw Royce, and Skylar with him best concert ever, even cooler this was his first sober tour, and I was there.
This is my favorite era of Eminem! This is the Eminem I grew up admiring and idolizing! Just seeing him be grown and evolved was awesome to see, I would not complain if he did what he did with MMLP2 and do a recovery 2! Bring back the iconic clean shave, black hair, and all! Would be badass

Alot of people will never know the struggle Em had to deal with and the one he'll continue to deal with the rest of his life. Addiction, Relapse, and recovery are all a motherfucker at times but luckily there is help available now to anyone willing to accept it and there's plenty more just like myself willing to talk or help if ya ever want it. 6 plus yrs clean and sober and many other things and challenges and obstacles I've been faced with and overcome over the years. I get it...

Honestly i can not recommend seeing this man live enough. I’ve been lucky enough to see him 3 times, I’ve been to tonnes of gigs and seen pretty much all the top rappers live but honestly nothing compares to an Eminem show. Seriously guys, even if you’re not a huge Eminem fan, if you’re a fan of music try your best to see him live, he’s not going to be around for a much longer. I give you my word those shows are incredible.
