3rd story, I have a younger adopted sister that wasn't told and when she was an adult in the military she found out on her own and basically has never had the same relationship with any of the family since then 30 years ago.
The same happened with a male cousin who found out his sisters were his cousins when he joined the military and saw his birth certificate. That was over sixty years ago, but I remember how badly that messed with him.
First story I wouldn't have given them a penny just told them I don't have a family and left
Did people not listen to the first story fully? She stole the car and house from under them, and the only one she is thinking of reconciling with is the sister
And ??
@user-qz6qp4xi9w she helped a dying woman who was also a victim of her parents, and then left the parents homeless and carless
She said she was thinking about it. Seems like she's just all talk so far

@@jmcdrawer5031she literally said she already owns their car
Story #1: OP does not owe her family a damn thing. They treated her like an unwanted house guest until they kicked her out at 18, and only ever picked up the phone because once again, they want her to do something for them. _But,_ I actually do agree that helping the sister was more powerful, because now the parents know that OP can take that help away the second they slip into old habits. Which is exactly what did end up happening, only for the parents to not realize that OP was already a step ahead of them from the beginning.
Its a dude

The second story, I’m glad he gave him a chance, the grandfather besides not understanding or liking homosexuality is still trying to accept his grandson and working with him would be the best way to build there relationship again
Young people of every generation don't understand what their grandparents were conditioned to accept as norm and the struggles it takes to adjust to current societal changes. I saw this in my own grandparents. I imagine my own granchildren will see it in me. It's being willing to make those adjustments that matters.
@@francinetitherington4060 fr
@@francinetitherington4060 fr, that why I hate when people are super quick to cut someone out and quite talking, talking is the only way to change someone mind on anything, when talking breaks down, fear, resentment, hatred, and eventually violence starts to build up
I'm glad he gave his grandfather a chance. It's heartening to see that, despite not fully understanding or accepting homosexuality, the grandfather is making an effort to rebuild the relationship. How do you think they can best support each other through this process? Any suggestions for helping someone understand and accept different perspectives?
@@AsherStoryTeller my advice would be even if someone doesn’t like homosexuality, just don’t look at the person like that, see the grandson instead of his sexuality
Story #2: In this particular situation, I'm glad that OP was aware enough to acknowledge that he was born in a more tolerant era/location than his grandfather, who comes from an environment where being gay will get you killed. Considering that the grandfather has held these beliefs for over *80 years,* it isn't easy to undo associating homosexuality with a fear of imminent death. In the end, I think it is best that OP now understands that it's okay to love the grandfather from a distance because they come from completely different realities.
Moses is an interesting name choice for an adopted kid in a story.
We now have unplanned children as a golden and overshadowed child
As someone adopted I wasn't told til I was 16. My dad was afraid I would love him less if I knew I wasn't his biologically. I did not care. He's my dad!!
My heart is bleeding because of Story 1…
Story #1:Bro this OP is such a doormat she thinks she is being a girl boss by helping her family who abused her for her entire childhood and caused her to commit self harm and they only came back when they needed something I can’t bruh I can’t
Agree. She will go "I'll pay for it so they feel indebt." Than "I'll pay for that because I'm better" and end up being their ATM.
But it's a "power move." "She's only setting them up to pull the rug from under them." Truthfully, She's seems as all bark buy no bite. I can see her slipping back to her old ways again
Honestly, they don't care if ur better than them. They only care that they can use you. So might as well be known as the heartless monster they created.
Story 1: he won 100%.
He dawg it's a dude
@@evinhylow7864 fixed, good catch!
Why do some adopted parents insist on never telling their kids they are adopted? That can be medically dangerous for them and any future children they may have! 😱
I hope Moses doesn’t tell them, and eventually drops it on them and when they eventually do, it’s when he’s 18 or something, that way they can’t keep him from seeing his brother, and he can tell them “you say when didn’t I tell you, ask yourselves the same question.”
1st Story: Op doesn't understand what a power move is or never will understand.
Sorry 2 had me sobbing. Poor man was so brainwashed by his religion. The bravery and love that man showed his grandson.
Of course she does, they want you to pay for everything.wow
Sure as hell was powerful. They treat you like shit for years. And through one act of selflessness they knew you were above them and above all the trauma and pain
So above they will keep treating her as an ATM. She thinks she will sell it, but let's be honest. She will not. that doormat will just keep paying.

Story 1: OP was playing the lomg game.
Who does OP's family think they are, the Dursleys?!
Sk-eye-ndler? Seriously? Does no one ever check the audio before posting it? Honestly, it wouldn’t take long just to make sure that words are pronounced correctly. Maybe Schindler is not all that common, but the film is very well known, so I would expect correct pronunciation. P.S. My long-term favourite audible cock-up is ‘Epi-toam’ for ‘Epitome’. Sadly it’s common.
🎶“I was broke, now I’m rich, these parents salty.”🎶
Thank you for sharing such a personal and intense story. Your resilience is truly inspiring. How are you managing your emotions through all of this? Is there anything specific you find helps when processing these complex family dynamics?
Story 1: Op is a doormat
Moses??? Bros been him since birth
2nd Story: Okay, I don't like religion as much as the next guy but dont you DARE blame religion on your misoganistic behaviour, at the end of the day, these beliefes don't just come from a releigion or some sort of outside force, it also comes from the fact that you would genuingly believe these things, yeah naw. None of that.
story 2, i recommend listening, not talking
1st Op is fake af
Right? How is no one else talking about this?
He states over and over as to how "good" he is, then openly says "well i'm going to take their car and house, sell them, and get the surgery money back". Like, Dawg, you're not the GOOD guy you claim to be lol
Lol
Not all countries kill but alright. Then again, it's reddit.
Story 1 : reddit won't ever agree with OP because reddit is filled with spitefull brats
Why bc they don't believe in helping abusive ass ppl?
@@RoqueRubio-zq1ec Finish the story oop is cooking.
It's not about being a spiteful brat. It's about being a vindictive B. A spiteful brat is nothing. That's toddler play. Vindictive is obliterating someone's world, their existence.
@@lindah3803 Exactly. OP literally has the power to make them homeless. She's taking back all the power they stole from her, x100. They are on her leash, she she decides how long or short it is.
@SnowyWolborg she ain't built like that
Story 1: I think OP is going too far in taking ownership of car and the house. OP should have just gone back to NC with the parents. That's what I would have done. OP wanted to be the better person and paid for the surgery, but then became juat as bad if not worse than the parents
Did you even read the story. There is no way Op would ever be worse than the parents. He got them out of debt and paid for the sister's surgery, so the parents are just a square zero and not in debt. Now they can work for a living from the bottom, just like Op had to do when they threw him out at eighteen.
1st story is that of a loser
Not really. Op got the money back that was paid for the medical expenses when the house and car were sold, and tentatively gained a sister.
@@shells500tutubo your view of loser differs from mine then.
1st story, the OP is just as bad as the parents. He goes on a tirade of "I did the better thing", then plans to sell the car and house to recoup the surgury money.
Sorry man, you're NOT the good guy you claim to be.
You're correct. He is the NORMAL guy who is trying to recoup just a little bit of what they took from him.
OP only did that after the parents attempted to pull a fast one by getting even more money out of him for something that was not a life-threatening situation, thus proving that they hadn't really changed. The sister did, but not the parents.
Yeah all I heard during this one was pure ego lol yet they stayed that pathetic kid the family could bully whenever because they complied with demands. Whatever happened to good old fashioned justice? Bad people don't suddenly deserve empathy, especially when they have none for anyone else.
