After Lata Mangeshkarji's demise Maam Entertainment decided to pay a befitting tribute to the Legend Swara Kokila Lata Mangeshkar under its "RIshtey" series "Remembering Lata Didi".
It was one of the most befitting tribute to the Legend with 6 eminent stage performers from all over India.
They were - Sanjeevani Bhelande from Mumbai , Madhura Datar from Pune, Shruti Bhide from Bangalore, Samanvitha Sharma from Bangalore, Sagar Sawarkar from Mumbai, Govind Kurnool from Bangalore.
Trumpet King of India Kishore Sodha's performance was the highlight of the evening.
The whole music arrangement was done by Srinivas Achar.
Former RJ Rashmi Shetty was Story Teller .
It was held in Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore.
It was Conceived, Directed and Produced by Maam Entertainment.

We all know that many Bollywood songs are based on famous Western songs. This is classic example that Kishore Soda is trying to show. The song, Besame Mucho, a classic Spanish number was first written in 1941 by Consuelo Velazquez. It has been sung by many singers including the original singer, Luis Miguel, then Andrea Bocelli (my favorite). In fact, I have also sung it in private gatherings. In comparison, Yeh Sama, composed by Kalyan Ji- Anand Ji, was released much later in 1997. In any case, both songs are beautiful songs. Just enjoy.

I came across a pianist who was playing Besame Mucho at Gare Du Nord station (Paris) over his piano on the platform where trains leave for Amsterdam.
He played superb...got to enjoy his performance...😊

I would only agree with someone who is a music director in Bollywood when the subject is about over- playing certain instrument.Because this player in question has some very flowery pedigree under his belt in the Bollywood music playing industry for quite a while.to that effect it tells me he knows his stuff well.in addition to that people who knows and one of those who plays the same instrument will never run down or criticise someone on stage.they are professional people.because they value what that person has been doing for years.respect is critical.
