You guys missed out by not doing the live Rock in Rio version. The audience is a whole instrument in itself. It adds so much more to this song. Also, Maiden was hands down the best band I've seen live. They're amazing.

@P Kos I heard the RIR version first so same here. The energy is so infectious. That whole album kind of ruined most of the songs for me, as it has to be that version I listen to.

Classic song from a underrated album. It's not just the title track that everybody should like and everything else is filler. Judas Be My Guide, Childhood's End, Be Quick or Be Dead, and From Here to Eternity are great just as well.

If you guys were ever going to check out a live Iron Maiden performance, it REALLY should have been this one! Also gotta get to Sea of Madness, 2 Minutes to Midnight, and Aces High
From the beginning to 1990 a guy who did maidens art covers had his own signature emblem he put on every piece he did hidden somewhere. Eventually the emblem came to represent the band and people thought it was some rutualistic symbol but people who are fans would recognize this symbol right away because it was like a find waldo challenge to find it on new cover art. The symbol was a big circle at top a line goes from the inside top of the middle of circle passes through bottom of circle and continues to end in an arrow pointing down. Then to the left of the arrow a small circle another to the right and a angled line connects the right circle to the outside of the large circle and theres a line under all of it across the whole thing.
Haha! This came out in '92. Long after thrash metal started. 😜
You gotta check out the live version. Preferably Rock in Rio. The crowd gets RIGHT into it.

This song is very special to me as it was indeed my first maiden song I still remember renting a 2 CD compilation of maidens best of from 90s to 2010s and I had already knew of the one song I loved and I saw it was on this compilation but live which I hadn't heard yet and the whole CD was killer and instantly became a fan tbh they have great killer songs from the 2000s

The awesome storyteller is actually the bass player, Steve Harris. He was Maiden's chief songwriter & lyricist, and, he wrote this song.

I didn't read all the comments to see if anyone! said this but, Hollywood mentioned the artwork and I believe Iron Maiden has some of the best, if not THE best, album art in metal music! Five Finger Death Punch's is up there too but, I think Maiden takes the top spot! 🤘🏼🎃🤘🏼

Iron Maiden - Blood Brothers... This song is one of their best songs ever... very melodic and beautiful (Bruce's voice is just out of this world in this one)
Iron Maiden's Fear of the Dark album was released in 1992 AFTER the thrash era lol. Bruce was singing on this album as he did for the majority of Maiden's catalogue. Paul Day was their first singer then was replaced by Dennis Wilcock and again was replaced by Paul Di'Anno of whom was also fired then Bruce got the job and then Bruce left in 1993 and was replaced by Blaze Bayley until Bruce and Adrian Smith rejoined Iron Maiden in 1999 Upon rejoining Maiden Bruce brought along his guitarist from his solo carreer, Janick Gers so Maiden has 3 guitarists currently. Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers along with original band creator member Steve Harris. They have had a few drummers as well, the best the band has had Nicko McBrain are who line the band now.

You need to check out Cradle of Filth as part of your Halloween set. I recommend 'Her Ghost in the fog'. Amazing vocals from Dani Filth. Black metal band with strong gothic tones.

There is a vast whole untapped market of Japanese rock hard rock and metal bands and they all happen to be female from lead guitar to rhythmic guitar to bass to drums to vocals. Don't matter if you can't understand them. your ears will thank you for this.

(not so) fun fact about Bruce Dickinson - he had a tumour cut out of his tongue in 2015 and has quite a big chunk of his tongue missing. You basically can't tell. Seen them live just last week. It's unbelievable how can someone sing like this with incomplete tongue.
