I used to ride the OCTA all the time, even going way back to when they were still OCTD. These “3000’s” were my favorite ones to ride. I remember these started disappearing in the mid 2000’s when those LNG powered busses were really taking over (I remember the bus drivers referring to them as “Nabbi’s”).
yeah they do. lol. That day they were following me in the C40LFR I was driving around 0:12 ... People looked at my bus, and they looked at 3011. So when 3011 got in front of me ... people were like ... "Hey that bus passed me up" .... "Is that a training bus ?", etc etc .... lol. good times
That’s sounds like 👍 a loud straight pipe @ the rear. Disney Transportation System Disney Transport 1989 TMC RTS buses does not have a straight pipe but it has a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine RTS & later change the engine to a Detroit Diesel S50 89-90 TMC RTS buses.

I loved the 4017 (4000 series), the bus driver back then (1985-88) extended that automatic shift to it's maximum, sounded like a race car!
This sound just like 1984-86 GMC/1987 TMCs from NYC MTA
I remember riding these GMC RTS buses back in the early 80's when the PVTA had them.
@Matteo42 when octa retired this babes they were recently rehabed with a rebuilt 6V92 back in 2005 retired in late 08
