Somehow, you managed to bumble your way through cadence's entire story on basically your first attempt, learning most of the mechanics as you went. Holy crap and congratulations. Don't expect that luck to continue though.
By the way "phasing" damage is like piercing on steroids. It pierces through armor / shields of orcs / skeletons / blademasters. And on top of that it also lets you kill things like ghosts while they're phasing, moles underground, you can hit King Conga while he's sitting on his throne, you can even freaking kill zone 5 electromage's orb projectiles!.
Holy crap. Hell of a run. You are definitely a God gamer. And you got a God run. The trident is broken. Especially with titanium (2 damage) good episode one. I cant wait to see if you try to go for an aria run
This is by far my favorite game of all time. There is just something to be said about fighting to the beat of a song. It's one thing to listen to it, but EACH ACTION feels so much more amazing when you're in the flow of it. Oh mistakes throwing off my tempo sucks, but like... doing an entire level with perfect combo and not missing a pattern when fighting all whilst this games amazing soundtrack plays at the side is one of the most wonderful feelings I've ever felt when playing games. I'm glad you've decided to pick it up. Crypt of the Necrodancer is a wonderful game to get into, and you seem to be a natural if that run is any indication XD
I saw the initial reviews when it came out but didn't really pique my interest. Only after I played this game in my cousin's house years later I realized what I was missing out on. This game plays better than it looks. Way better.
Oh god im so happy ur playing this game! Ive had this game ever since and the fact tht everyone seems to remember this gem again because of the update, which everyone waited for 5 YEARS, just makes me even happier
You're right that the RNG was quite favorable -- several of those items in conjunction with your damage-ups basically allowed you to ignore some fussy mechanics -- but your cautious play also let you survive long enough to get the build together, so you know, column A column B :P
Gahhh, the soundtrack is just too darned amazing! Really hoping the DLC has some new stuff from the composer...cuz holy hades, it is good! If only he did music for more games...man! I'd love to see his work in a Final Fantasy or Zelda game.
Crypt of the Necromancer is my favorite game of all time. The Soundtrack is absolutely fenomenal, and the game is just fun and very hard. Seeing you playing bring me a lot of joy. Btw you did really good this run (i got lucky like that on my first playthrough too, i was even able to beat the final boss on first try), practice makes perfect in this game. Once you memorize all enemies and bosses patterns, the game gets way easier
Retromation, might you try Noita? It can be tough as nails, but it has an inventive magic system and interesting and complicated lore and secrets! It would make a perfect, weekly or bi weekly ongoing series! For guides and secrets I would highly recomend the FuryForged and Nymphs RUclips channels It’s in a pixel art style where every pixel is simulated with some having gravity and chemical/alchemical reactions! I hope you have an amazing day Reto!
I feel like this new dlc added a lot that makes the game easier. I never managed to do an all zone cadence run despite experience. Or he is just incredibly lucky
Not too many OP things. The trident is obviously an incredibly good weapon but there was also the warhammer before, which is arguably even better for safety than the trident. What made this build very strong was also the piercing ring which made easy work of zone 4 blademasters and zone 5 orcs. But all of those things were already in the game before. The only new things I believe were the obsidian shield and trident. That on top of with Retromation's amazing play. I've watched a lot of players play this game and I definitely recognize a natural talent when I see one. How he was sidestepping and understanding the skeletons, avoiding damage very well. And remembering to use his heal spell almost instantly when it was off cooldown. Opening crates and barrels. So many people forget about their equipment and spells especially. This was overall very well played by him.
I love this game, but I'm stuck on the third character. Though the music has always kept me going Spoiler Third character is basically a walking glass dagger

says he's new to the game, gets to the final boss on first try
I am new, just not brand new. Played a few hours in 2016 and a few hours this year.
@@Retromation truly a gamer god

It seems the trident is OP.....

Always been interested in this game but I never got around to playing it. Super exited to watch this series!

You are quincy, son of quincy
Huh, Reto really IS a god gamer.
Great video and good audio mixing for a typical game. But this is crypt of the necromancer, we're here to rave with you. Crank the music 🎶🎵🎶
Oh god im so happy ur playing this game! Ive had this game ever since and the fact tht everyone seems to remember this gem again because of the update, which everyone waited for 5 YEARS, just makes me even happier
That was an insanely good run!
Ι'm so damn hyped for this series. Utterly love this game

you should go for the platinum trophy! 😁
Love to see more
Love this game. Absolute fire
If he didn't get the ring of piercing, he would've been instantly deleted on zone 5
Plus zone 4! He had INSANE luck on knights dying due to bombs before getting the rings
This made my brain hurt but could not stop watching.
I'm excited for this
Please Reto we would love to see more!
Conteúdo bom constância e fiel aos seguidores que belo achado essa semana kkk
This game has always been fun glad to see the hyrule spinoff and more dlc

Kinda cool to see you struggling as you are a gamer god in almost every other game.
* kinda struggling
good luck!

The fact that he almost beat an all zones run first try is incredible
If you like this... there is a roguelike zelda spinoff of it called "Cadence of Hyrule"
Although this is not my kind of game you seemed to be really enjoying yourself which made this video lots of fun to watch. Keep it up! 👍👏
This is quite the endeavor! Best of luck, Great Lamb Reto
One of my favourite games!
It was a nice blast from the past to see this it again. Too bad I was never able to beat the Hard mode character lol

I did a pretty big series on Noita already
25:07 im dying :D
If you love this game, a sequel to it came out called "Crypt of the Necrodancer: Cadence of Hyrule" and it was every bit as unexpected as you think.
Though I do think it's only on the Nintendo switch, because Zelda.
i wouldnt call it a sequel, more of a spinoff. it plays quite different albeit it still has the Necrodancer feel.
Now hard mode available
The mole is the best track
The shopkeeper is the best thing in this game
It's really impresive that you reached so far in the game with almost no experience
The more you play the better you’ll slay we believe in you🤣
