I’m sad genbu gets all this hate, sure his English makes as much sense as an albino rare African elephant crying into a a English yellow jacket, sure whenever you make him say stuff he goes quiet for a few secs, sure I’m biased, but I just love his voice bank and the vibes he puts off with his design in faces, sure his voice and isn’t the best for stuff but I still love hearing him sing

Genbu sounds like boy going through puberty. It might be the engine noise or the vocal library being broken, or maybe his voice provider but his Voicevox sounds fine. Yeah, a problem with his SynthV VB
He was a standard VB (no AI so already way more choppy and low quality than other synth v voicebanks) made during a time where Synth V was still very new. They did him no justice and he probably didn’t sell at all (plus I think VOLOR is no longer active?) so zero updates and fixes. Thankfully standard voicebanks are no longer being released ‘cause I really feel for people that spent money on those or even Genbu 🥲

for the range thing at the very least he's full VB doesnt do that (im assuming your using his lite VB?) because for whatever reason they used his A3 pitch (which is relatively high for a male singer btw) instead of his C3 one that his full VB has which leads to his lite VB having no low range at all (tl;dr he's lite VB just sucks and doesnt fully represent the final product lol)
I wholeheartedly agree. This is more of a meme than an actual review. Sadly him being a standard vb with no updates at all makes him sooo obsolete and choppy so I really would never recommend anyone to buy him unless they know what they’re signing up for (plus VOLOR is now defunct I think?)
If he wasn’t hell on earth to work with I would honestly love him: the range were he sounds good reveals that he has a really nice voice, he’s just made like sh*t by who released him. Plus he has such a good design!

Honestly, when I saw his design was a meh, but then I heard his voice and I really disliked him, he made me thing that SynthV male voices weren't going to like me. Luckily, Kevin, Ryo, and many others made change that thought and think that Genbu it's the only worst SynthV VB.
Yuma and An Xiao are my faves! Genbu is not an AI vb and that is not in his favor, but overall they just really messed him up with the ridiculous noise and nonexistent range
Do you know what the problem is? That people have become so dependent on AI, that they want AI to do everything to them and they don't break their brains tunneling around. If in and of itself they give you the opportunity to make your song the way you want, which normal AI apps don't do, it's for you to tune it, tune it up and make it sing well. That's what Synthetizer V, Vocaloid, Cevio is all about. Genbu is a good voicebank. That the company VOLOR doesn't give a shit about their voicebank is something else. I'm sure that 90% of the comments, by the way, you put any synthesizer program on them and they don't even know how to use it. So don't give an opinion. Edit: I'm not saying this out of harm's way, but so they can learn Not to talk so much shit without knowing😊

The fact he sounded like Kasane Teto when high-pitched, LOL! Besides, he even sounded like UTAU.
I found out that his voice provider had made an UTAU prior, and yes, the quality is literally the same. Synth V has come such a long way!
