James Arguello In case no one responded, that is a Vox SSC55 (SC for single cut.) there is also a Vox SSC33, which has the same pickups but does not have an individual switch for each pup to bring it from Humbucker to its p90 sound. It only has a master "tapping" switch. Both EXCELLENT guitars... I owned both and still have the 33. Vox also makes this guitar's equivalent in an SG kind of layout, called the SDC55 or SDC33. "DC" meaning double cut. That's a great guitar too ( I owned it as well) but it was a little too neck heavy for me and I couldn't get used to it. All are ridiculous values. The build quality is supreme.
i have the ht-5 w/ the same isf feature the lrft side might be brighter but it is much more empty and less meaty than the right side. it might have higher treble but its missing a lot of beefy midrange to it. and being that its a GUITAR amp. which is a midrange instrument its a little risky to have a feature that sucks out the midrange like that. imho! but yor guitar playing is fricken awesome, very very clean no mistakes. me likes alot.
I have a effect processor (digitech rp255). Can I use it with this amp, considering the fact that even for the clean channel of the blackstar I have to "add" a bit of gain to raise the overall volume?
Thanks for the question. There is no reason you couldn’t use it. It does have a gain and overall volume. You will get some clean volume out of it before the gain circuit distorts. It isn't much different from any other tube amp except that this one doesn’t have a ton of clean headroom.
A little off topic, but what is the thing he does at 3:00 mins? It looks like the sound is driven by his right hand, but I can't tell what he's doing. It sounds cool and I would like to pick up that trick.
Knotfan Maggot Yes, i have the blackstar ht-5 they're basically the same except for the power which has that 4 watt difference. But so yeah since the ht-5 is exelllent for metal i believe this one is too.
Sure does. It will respond like a tube amp though, so the louder you crank it up (and it’s only 1W to begin with) the more drive it will produce itself in addition to the pedal. Could be cool, could be too much or could be both depending on the sound you want.
what speaker it's better for the HT1.. celestion greenback or G12H30 70 any ? aiming for a more open sound, more mids and highs..less "dark" sounding (I cut off from the game the V30 coz it has 60w and i think its too much for just 1w amp) Thank you!
Dang. She plays pretty good
She? xD
LAME :)
I thought he meant the amp...
Didn't even occur to me Jeff could be referring to the player. Big hair = big man.
Is he playing it at full volume ? People never seem to say that in reviews you'd think they'd mention that since it's a 1watt
The greatest intro ever ! :D
bought on baed on this, thx much great amp
awesome playing man.
Jonny D'marco's illegitimate kid.
thanks robert plant
Did not know vox made guitars
Wow, nice review!
heh thanks freddy,,,v cool demo,,,gonna get me one ,,,,,thats the prettiest vox geetar i ever done seen,,,,best for 2017 muso bro
is it just me or does the gain sounds very similar to that of the Orange Micro Terror?
Pretty good demo.
Is that a Vox guitar? I didn't know they made guitars too.
Sounds great. What model is that Vox?

If I wanted to use a reverb delay or chorus pedal with this, would it sound bad because of no effects loop and it’s going in ahead of the pre amp ????
I've never had a problem doing it......just plug my pedal board right in....it's tube, so it's going to sound good.

Roby robert
Awesome! We are happy to hear that!
Funky bro
is eq controll enough to set your favourite sound? and if i drive it with pedal the pedal eq controlls are enough?

I think hes alternating between thumb and pointer finger
@@lithominium9955 Thanks for replying. I've come such a long way in the 7 years since I posted that question.
Cool but where can i buy this combo?
Is it good for heavy metal?
Knotfan Maggot Yes, i have the blackstar ht-5 they're basically the same except for the power which has that 4 watt difference. But so yeah since the ht-5 is exelllent for metal i believe this one is too.
Wich amp should i buy? This blackstar or fender mustang 2?
excellent review. thanks.
dat intro tho.
does this amp react well on pedals like overdrives and fuzz?
Sure does. It will respond like a tube amp though, so the louder you crank it up (and it’s only 1W to begin with) the more drive it will produce itself in addition to the pedal. Could be cool, could be too much or could be both depending on the sound you want.

is it loud enough to play at home? is it as loud as 10W transistor amp?
It's louder than 10w transistor
I have one of these and it's no where near as loud as my 10 w marshall mg10, must be something wrong with it.... 🤔
Robert plant plays awesome guitar...
whatta beautiful fat sound, this is what i,m looking for
You look like Kirk Hammett
omg nothing like a tube amp
But it’s a tube amp.
Funk #49 :D
Lol. His left leg.
built in metronome
Very nice amp but in my opinion does not sound like a tube amp
you must be high........
It is tho
too buzzy
Sounds much thicker and bassier in real life. Your computer speakers dont do it justice.
