Jet and Ben instigated more conflict between Jon and Letty , and pushed Letty to destroy Jon’s Bible by putting it in the washing machine and turning it on. And she did that. Jon is a Christian who takes the Bible seriously as the Word of God, so destroying his nice Bible is very offensive to him. Plus Jon has autism and anger issues so it makes the situation more volatile. So Jon got really mad at Letty, threw the pulped Bible at her, than tried to isolate himself to cool down. The production staff basically patronized him at that point and said he could destroy anything of letty’s. So Jon goes for the passport, and production freaked. Production is kind of stupid, or they were hoping for some big explosion, but they didn’t want the passport destroyed, so they didn’t know the wrath they were messing with.
