Loving your reviews!!! Very well done guys. One thing I am yet to see is someone showing how they can be loaded into a car. I can only imagine it would take 2 people to do it?
If there is one thing that always makes me question these scooters it's the design of the front suspension. There must be a tremendous amount of stress on the stem and mounts with the way the suspension systems work. I prefer the traditional suspension where all the load goes down to the tyre, alloy and springs like on the Kaabo Wolf Warrior. Great comparison on these scooters and the intricacies of both. The Dualtron X unless offered with a 0% interest finance agreement by the distributor over say a year or 2 period is out of people's budget straight away. Thumbs up, really like seeing the amount of effort you put into your channel it really is evident in the videos.
There would be a tremendous amount of stress due to the impacts being leveraged by the swing arm creating extreme amounts of tensile and compressive torque related stresses on the material. But materials like steel can take massive amounts of stress. At least 300 Mpa of tensile stress before failure. That's 30 000 Tons per square meter (or about 43 500 Psi). Not to say it can take a 30 000 Ton rider. That's for a full square meter of material under static (i.e. not moving) tensile load. No lever arm on the load and no impacts and acceleration. But still these numbers give you an idea of how it's possible for these super high stress designs to perform in a very safe and reliable manner. 30 000 tons is the same weight as about 20 000 cars. Imagine that many cars. It's like a city full of cars. If you were able to stack those cars up on top of each other without crushing them they would be over 20 miles high. All able to hang from a single square meter metal rod. Sounds crazy and I'm sure many people would think it is. But that's how it is. And 300 Mpa is nothing. Carbon fibre composites get up to 3000 Mpa. Or 300 000 Tons per square meter. That's 200 000 cars being supported by 1 square meter. Bonkers You could stack those cars up 200 miles high. The lowest orbiting satellites are said to be at an altitude of 100 miles. Said to be.... But nonetheless
The guys at Falcon PEV are reporting 190mm (7.5") of suspension travel on the Techlife X9 (aka: Zero 11x) in their video (ruclips.net/video/9hV0_1tfz_w/видео.html). How does the suspension travel of the Dualtron X compare? Also, do the suspensions on both of these scooters allow the rider to adjust compression, rebound, and pre-load settings, as well as the option for to swap-in different springs for lighter/heavier riders? Now that this category of super-scooters are reaching peak manageable power/speed for the majority of riders, the manufacturers are going to to have to set themselves apart from the competition by concentrating on suspension compliance and adjustability. I hope Wrong Way leads the way in testing and review coverage of this next phase of suspension-evolution of the e-scooters, and I hope you consider doing a few segments on suspension upgrades. Keep up the excellent reviews!
I love your reviews and your channel. I think you should have 100K Subs or a lot more! I own a Kaabo Wolf Warrior that we BOTH KNOW IS ONE OF THE BEST MACHINES IN THE WORLD. I can’t even call it a scooter, it’s soooo much more. I also recently purchased a Zero 10X and I must tell you, for the SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY there is NO COMPARISON BETWEEN MACHINES. The Kaabo WW blows the 10X into the weeds. I will be putting on the KWHEELS Steering Damper today to quiet down that twitchy mess of a front end on the 10X. I’m really hoping that this calms down the twitchy flexy front end. If you go over 25 mph with a stock Zero 10X you are taking your life in your hands. You will wipe out and crash at high speed. I am counting on this steering damper SO MUCH to save my almost $3K investment. The suspension is nice and soft on the 10X but this is a benefit and a curse. At high speeds it’s a major curse. Way to soft! On bumpy roads and jumping curbs it’s great. I am going to address the suspension dampers after I put the steering damper on. This thing needs to be reengineered but I am going to do it. I am not giving up on my Zero 10X. She has nice power and great Zoom branded brakes and she looks HOT, so there you have it.
Once again, great review wrong way. Question, how has the zero 11x stood up so far? I you able to comment if it will stand the test of time? The controllers seem to be so close to the cells and it looks as though there's no way of dissipating the heat. What are your thoughts?
