Gather and synthesize information about technologies that have changed the way humans influence the inheritance of desired traits in organisms. Emphasis is on synthesizing information from reliable sources about the influence of humans on genetic outcomes in artificial selection (such as genetic modification, animal husbandry, gene therapy); and, on the impacts these technologies have on society as well as the technologies leading to these scientific discoveries.

Organisms and environments. The student knows that populations and species demonstrate variation and inherit many of their unique traits through gradual processes over many generations. The student is expected to: identify some changes in genetic traits that have occurred over several generations through natural selection and selective breeding such as the Galapagos Medium Ground Finch (Geospiza fortis) or domestic animals and hybrid plants.

So sad that even with food they are judged by looks. I knew a wise farmer that only planted the seeds of the best tasting produce that he ate and paid no attention to how they looked. I think this would be the best form of artificial selection.

That sounds like a much better quality to select for!

Great video! Excellent summary. I will definitely look for others. Side note - Wild cabbage is correct. Wild mustard is a seperate species.
