I cannot thank you enough for your video!!! I've HATED tape guns my entire life because nobody (until you) mentioned you have to remove the little black piece off the blade. I've always thought the clear plastic piece was the blade, even though it couldn't slice through melted butter on its best day! You're the BOMB!!!!

😂 Thank you so very much. I'm still stuck. can't seem to push those little knobs in order to get the blade cover off. In my head I've done it and everything's perfect. In reality, it hasn't budged. I have favorites in my pantry that I can't use. Every now and then, I try. Hadn't done anything yet. I don't think I'm strong enough. The same happens with bottle caps. Anything that has a twist cap. I'll walk away and then go back to it.

Thanks. I see I've been doing it correctly - I still hate using tape guns tho. Tape seem to always get caught or tangled and require excessive force to cut. I prefer the refillable red plastic tape holders.

OMG. Finally! I couldn't figure out where the blade cover was. This is the first video I could find that showed exactly where it was.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't find the blade. I can figure out the most complicated gadgets, but this one really got me. I was so mad I threw it out. A friend said hey, you can youtube all. Luckily garbage hadn't been picked up got it out follow this and wala!!! Thank you a million!

Thank you so much. I am pretty good at figuring out this kind of thing, but this one is crazy. Didn't even have the tape in the right direction! The critics are ass hats. They didn't explain it at all! I think the big clear plastic thing is what threw me off.
