    I've had a history of BPPV, and the Epley maneuver has worked well, except for my current bout. If I sleep on my back or left side, I can get up without being dizzy, if I sleep on the right, it takes about 30 seconds to stop spinning when I get up. Gonna try another round of the Epley...really hope that helps. Thanks for your attention on this subject. It's one of the worst conditions to have. On par with migraines, and probably worse, except in my case, not as frequent.

    I have learned a few of these sleep positions through sad experience. This is a keeper video. Thanks for your frequent and helpful attention to vertigo a nd dizziness.
    I alternate; BPPV, cervical. Over decades,but less frequent in recent months. BPPV is a spin and it doesn't always disappear quickly with Epley. Sometimes days. Spinocervical is lightheadedness, inability to gain vision focus,nausea, and generally harder to get on top of.

      It can be if you have a loss of cervical lordosis (neck curve); with cervicogenic dizziness the symptoms may get worse with treatment before they improve. Best wishes.

    Hlw jon I want to ask you a question. I am suffering from cervical spondylitis and I have done my x-ray. And it shows straightning of cervical lordosis. Whenever I move my head side to side and tilt it makes some type of grinding and crunching noises. So my question is that if we have loss of neck cervical curvature does it creates this type of Creepy noises ? And I am doing some exercises to make my Cervical curve back again . And if my curve backs in its own alignment will this noises be stop ?? And how much time it takes to get the curve back ??

    • @drjonsaunders
      @drjonsaunders  Месяц назад

      Yes sometimes alignment issues will cause those sounds...I have a video on that very topic on my channel. Best wishes.

      @@drjonsaunders yes I have watched that video. But I want to know one more thing. I am doing exercises to get my curve back again. So I want to know if my curve gets back again will those sounds be gone ? And how much time it can take to restore again?? What is your thought ? Just wanted to get an idea about time?

      Sorry,been there done that. I dread dentist appointments because I can't tolerate having my head back too far. I have been good lately,but with occasional BPPV, I have found I may need 2 or 3 DAYS doing the Epley to feel secure away from the wall,or outside,or especially driving.
      Vertigo and lightheadedness are serious.

    Would a pinch nerve in the back of your neck cause vertigo?

    • @drjonsaunders
      @drjonsaunders  2 месяца назад +1

      Typically a pinched/irritated nerve wouldn't cause vertigo, but it could indirectly cause dizziness.

    • @drjonsaunders
      @drjonsaunders  Месяц назад

      That can mean it may be a different canal involved, the anterior canal vs posterior. Or it may be a different cause that you would need to see your doctor for an appropriate diagnosis.
