    I like that you soak the pellets so they can get more water intake. Beautiful torts. Nice enclosure. 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

    How much space would a full grown Burmese Star tortoise require for an outside pen? Also, how do you house all of these guys indoors?

    • @spacecoasttortoise
      @spacecoasttortoise  2 года назад +1

      The bigger the space the better. At minimum I’d make it 30x15 feet for 2-4 adults, obviously bigger if more adults. I house my guys indoors during storms and cold weather. I have a 6x4’ foot tortoise table indoors with heat bulbs and uvb strips.

    Wow! I just love your videos! You include a lot of details and your very descriptive. I live in Indio, California. I have one Indian an one Burmese star but they are both yearling’s. Your property is large! What do you indoor closures look like?

      Hey Max! Thanks for the kind words. I’m planning on a diy tortoise table episode late summer. I have my little ones outside nearly 24/7 but once it cools down they will be coming back indoors. You can find a great pic of my current tortoise table on my Instagram 👍

    Hey can u tell what all veggies do u include in ur spring mix for star tortoise and so u feed them the this every day? 🥺

    • @spacecoasttortoise
      @spacecoasttortoise  2 года назад

      You ideally want to feed something different every day, give them variety.
      Other than grass and weeds (which should be a substantial part of their diet) I’d feed spring mix (no spinach), arugula, romaine, escarole, and endive. Sometimes you can add some squash or zucchini. If feeding commercial diets like mazuri, only feed this maybe once or twice a week on top of the variety of greens.
      A great resource to check out is tortoiseforum.org
      Hope this helps 🙌

      I’m hoping to get eggs this summer and hatch some babies out by the end of the year. I’ll definitely have an announcement on here and Instagram once that happens!
