I am so sorry for your experience. I lived in Kalgoorlie for about 3 years and 2 months and I think I only bought food from Subway once. There are many other locals that sell great food and 5 stars customer service! Try pasta2go, Relish Cafe, and also the shop next to Subway I forgot the name (I left Kalgoorlie 5 months ago) but it has purple logo and sell Krispy Creme. But anyway lovely video and thank you for filming the main street, I miss Kalgoorlie so much and I wish I documented a little bit of it when I was there.

Yes it is safe, just a small town with not so much to do, but they have grocery stores and all the basic things, but I loved my experience living there.
Wow Kalgoorlie! Good luck girl, no but for real I'm of the diaspora and lived there over a decade ago. Glad to have left the place behind though I do miss the friends I made. It still looks the same. Sorry you had the strange experience at subway...yes there are racist people in that town...but there are many down to earth, friendly non-racist people as well. It's a mixed bag. At least she was serving in a spot where you could watch her, imagine if she had the food out of sight. Such unacceptable behavior.
I like what you did to that food from the subway, i'd have done the same too.It wasn't served with love, which is a secret & an important food ingredient

I think you might find that subway had nothing to do with being racist more the fact that you were recording someone in there place if work making your sandwich. Not a lot of people like this and that's more realisticly why she would of stopped half way through.
