I was dying to see vocal coaches reacting to this song.. They weren't really famous and so people didn't actually react to it much.. And not a lot of people realise how talented they are.. And the high notes truly one of the best high note in kpop industry yet people didn't give much attention since they are much more famous kpop groups than them.. 🙁
I think they quiet famous in korean and they didnt promote this song as i know, it just a special collaboration from the same company

Hong Ki is an amazing singer he is considered one of the best vocalists of his generation, he has a lot of OSTs and albums in Korean and Japanese, right now he is in the military service... listen to his song Wind with FT Island you'll hear his vocal range.
Blonde guy - Hong Gi Brown Hair guy - Hwe Seung They are on the same label which is FNC Entertainment. Hong Gi is the senior artist and is the singer of FTIsland which is a rock band that debuted in 2007. Hwe Seung is the singer for a band called NFlying. They are both amazing bands and have plenty of lives videos to watch! I'd love to see you do a live video! Also, I hope your feel better soon!
As far as I know, the story is about the girl who is still in love with her already dead ex. He is watching over her as a ghost and is jealous of her new boyfriend. On the other hand her new friend is jealous because she can't really move on, so it's a real bitter sweet love triangle

There’s been times where Hweseung just flexes that stepping up sequence of high notes live, I’m pretty sure there’s a compilation out there somewhere. Sometimes it sounds strained but others are so ridiculously good 👌
This song just a special duet for both vocalist from the same company, they didnt promote it but yes, also hoping they perform it live in award show etc, it will be epic

Lee Hong Ki (guy with white hair) is the main vocals for the Korean rock band FT Island. Yoo Hwe Seung ( the guy with bright hair), on the other hand is with the band NFlying... they're under the same agency. I love your reaction and your observations on their vocals. The best reaction for this song that i've heard so far because of your objectivity. Yeah, Hong Ki has a rasp voice compared to Hwe Seung. Hong Ki even revealed that his weakness is doing the falsetto (as it is very evident in this song). Check his latest singles before entering the military service. He did collaborations with other artists and he showed how versatile he is.
They are both power vocals of bands under the same company. Check their bands FTIsland and NFlying.

Usually, Hongki’s live voice sounds better than in the recording. He is a very experienced vocalist.
Hweseung is also talented, but less experienced. Sometimes live he sounds a little clamped.
Hong Gi is one of my favorite korean singer, i really love his voice He has many songs you can watch and react And for Hwe Seung, he has a beautiful voice too, you can check some live cover of Queen that he sings in Immortal song 2, it's amazing.

Ah yay a reaction to this! Yoo Hweseung is amazing and I ADORE his band Nflying. His high notes are killer. And Hongki is such an expressive vocalist! this song is god tier. and there is unfortunately not a full live version of this track but Yoo Hwesung HAS done the 6 notes high note several times live in various places including on a live stream while sitting at a table.
I've heard the live version so many times and they sound the same. That 5 octave vocal climb live is soooooo amazing!! I hope you have been able to watch the live videos!

Lee Hong Gi is one of my top favorite Korean male vocalist with K.Will(solo), Zion. T(solo), Ryeowook(Super Junior) , and V(BTS)! His vocal genre is very versatile from singing a powerful heavy rock style to a cute fluffy romantic style! His vocals can fill a whole room it’s really amazing!

There is no live version as they are from different groups. They do belong to the same label, but their vocals are real. They separately have heaps of live stuff to check out. HongKi (blonde guys) is the lead singer of a rock band and Hwe is the vocalist of a newer group. HongKi has been around for over 10 years and is recognised as being a very accomplished vocalist in Korea. Known for his unique voice.

Lee and Yoo are their surnames, in Korea they say their family name first and then their own name, so treating them as Lee and Yoo would be the incorrect way to address them. Same thing applies to Japanese names.
The fact that you treated them as white hair guy and brown hair guy and unknowingly, by their surnames, just gives out something like a raw, honest outside perspective, like the ones from outside our circle without any bias, and I respect that a lot.

Late (as usual) but seeing you react to k-pop is something I didn’t expect, so THANK YOU, HEIDI 💜 Especially, that, by no means, I’m an expert but coming from a background of 2NE1, G-DRAGON and (G)I-DLE, it was really refreshing to see something so visually tame and not hitting you like a bulldozer.
Re what you said about the differences between the live videos and music videos - the problem is, any official live recording will also be cleaned up and the most blatant example is Live in Hong Kong by Nightwish. I went to their gig around that time with Anette being her vocalist and trust me, she was cleaned up in post production (but this is what happens when you give a rock singer music written for an opera vocal...). Anyway, no shame here IMO - otherwise you’d have to stick to the bootlegs.

There really isn't very much that isnt "cleaned up" (translated- tampered with) from any video. A huge thing with commenting on these things (on video especially) is you get dragged to hell by fans, who are just doing what they think is right.
The main example for me is the first KZ reaction I did, where I identified obvious autotune which was used for effect. I was hounded and gaslighted to agree that she could do that with her natural voice. Thankfully I did my homeowork later and actually found the tech she used for the effect!
I'd genuinely like to see a shift back to raw vocals, but I don't see that happening, so I just need to be as vigilant as i can with my own content :)
