Very important to keep the alignment the same when removing or replacing steering wheel or disconnecting shaft to steering box. Steering angle sensor misalignment not as bad as damaging your clock spring behind the steering wheel. Same way to reset on a Mercedes I see the old daimlerchrysler ghosts are still present on the later models.

U1504 code came on the car I was working on. 17 cherokee 2.4. Removed fuse box to change trans mount. Now the brake pedal is stiff but Vacuum pump is working. Checked all connections. Everything is back where it was like factory. Checked my work a to z. Any ideas what could have happened
