I dont know if you noticed but the doors on the bedroom side of the pip ranch are open. so dupes arent always going through the nature reserve when they wake up.
Good morning Echo! Glad I didn't suffocate in space. It was good to see some achievements get ticked off the list. Keep up the great and and thanks for another wonderful episode!
I like to connect a transit tube system from the center of the base, to multiple outposts with suits. An outpost right before the industrial brick, another in space, etc. The outposts are liquid locked, and full of oxygen and decor
I just explored this game and find your RUclips channel. Needles to say you got me hooked on it! I watched the whole series in 2 days.I really enjoy your gameplay and commentary. Keep up the good work!
Could you setup two reflectors pointing at each other across the diamond press pullout reflectors to keep any extra radbolts in your system and contribute to the radbolt distance covered achievment?
Yes although there would be a couple draw backs. One, they would eventually dissipate (as the amount of radbolts goes down each tile they travel), and also they would impact the game in the form of lag. Ingenious idea though.
Great base! Really nice radbolt production you got going on there haha You should restrict the duplicants without the exo suit skill to go into exo suits. The slowdown prevents them from learning skills, it's much better to have a gym (wheel+light to power) set to a high priority.
I was catching up on like 4 episodes in this series and I was thinking watching the last episode, "I would call the long named room Bob." And now the first thing you say is the best name for it is Bob. Reading my mind
Alot of people know about the Chernobyl Liquidators. Well here we have the Echo Ridge Liquidators. The least you could do is compensate them with some extra rations, maybe a visit to the hot tub. He sent them in to do the dirty "clean up" work on the reactor. Good video.
0:15 - I had a flashback to one of Luma's recent in-between episodes upon seeing the dupe in the rocket without O2. Good thing AngryForest has a benevolent overlord, otherwise he'd be loooong dead :D
Have the only exit to the bedrooms be transit tubes that drop off right in front of the nature reserve. easiest way to be sure that they use it every day
Best way to get an insane amount of radbolts: make an infinite fluid storage, dump the output of the research reactor into it, build radbolt generators around it, profit. My system with this gets well over 5000 radbolts per cycle.
19:55 I was actually disappointed the first time I got to the radbolt engine, because it just doesn't have good height or rocket strength. You can make one for zippy "single cycle, short range" trips, or you can make one to be a replacement carbon dioxide engine, but to make them decent, you need to cut out specific luxury canisters. And I don't see them being drill rockets. Go back to petroleum for that stuff.
my current play thru I am using a series of dense puff farms to eat up all that extra oxygen that I normally pump into space to keep up the hydrogen production form the SPOM. They eat the extra oxygen they poop out oxylite which falls into the water pool at the bottom of their pen. Then that didn't work well so now I us a few auto sweepers to pick it all up and drop it into a centralized pool to prevent off gassing. Think I need to just dig deep get some early beetas and set up a hydrogen farm with the saturn plants. But since I didn't I am about to make a slickster hydrogen farm instead converting that excess O2 into hydrogen with the OwO slicksters.
You should add a o2 producing plant in the rocket that eats up a little co2. Or in the base have radom cold producing plants in hotter parts in the base and use the cooling lines to cool the hot biomes.
The conveyer meter is buggy when it comes to low units. It will occasionally overshoot no matter how fast the reset signal (e.g. 0.1 seconds.) The solution is to make sure the power is off when the reset signal is sent. I use a secondary timer + power shutoff then time it manually. 5 second power off (reset signal in the middle of that 5 second window.) If you're relying on the timer sensor for the reset signal, make sure both the signal reset timer and power shutoff timer total red & green duration matches up so they don't get out of sync.
While it can be wasteful, unless you are hurting for water you absolutely have the option of making oxylite via ranching pufts. It is tedious and takes up space but oxygen is easy to produce, especially with the amount of water you have going, so really the lack of gold is a null issue.
I will point out that I found an advanced rad pill while looking at the stuff in sandbox mode. No Idea how to make it or if it's like a rare drop from gravitas POI. But I've never found one in normal gameplay
Like with the weight plate you only need carpeted tile under 1 tile of the beds to tickle the dupes totsies all night. That way you can have plastic tiles and give the movement speed increase. Can't wait to see you tackle the ocean planet for the graphite for supercoolant (unless you go mine it from the POIs).
is it wrong to want a transit tube exit directly open over an exposed bit of abyssilite where the magma is exposed in case a dupe gets on my bad side? 👀
I dunno why but when i start playin the game i quit after 80 cycles or something like that because of mostly a device i made not workin or i needed to do some work irl then don't come back and it just pisses me off when some pipes stopped sending water or something overwaltin and i can't say that im good at the game so do u have any advuce for this.
Hey man i was really hoping you could do a tutorial for ONI about heat. Especially early game as i find this the worst part about the game right now. I have a coal generator that ive been using because i used your guide to hatch farming and have been living off of coal for about 20 cycles now. HOWEVER the heat is starting to kill my colony i cannot contain it at the moment i am stuck because making ice generates heat useing the ice dosent seem effective as it dosent really cool the area to much i added insulated tiles to help keep it from spreading but its now reaching 120F and my dupes are starting to complain.
why don't you reroute the radbolt on the press 'before' the press, so it will hit one and the proceed automatically to the next one if full? this way if you have a press with -let's say 999 rads in it- the rad will still run to the next one automatically and not drop to teh ground
There is a mod to run the tubes like power wires and do turns in tight radius too. Cause tubes kinda suck with the way they are-- i mean I would use tubes if it wasn't for the gym... i mean super athletic dupe >> tube.
I got hung up on why it was necessary for the achievement. :) Makes me wish we could farm mirth leaf for the little teapot ice melters coming in the new DLC -- I also love tea!
I dont know if you noticed but the doors on the bedroom side of the pip ranch are open. so dupes arent always going through the nature reserve when they wake up.
DOH! Thanks for the tip.
I love the Soviet approach to adding another rad bolt generator lol
I look forward to these episodes every time. It's nice to find a series that good every once in a while
Thank you.
I would have loved "Bob"! 😂
Mee too. I think I had upvoted it xD
It was my favourite. Everyone likes Bob
Same here
+1

Thank you and welcome!
Ahh a good day for an echo video! And I learned something! I love how you handled the transit tube system
My transit tube philosophy is tube up - pole down. The pole is more efficient going down and I do believe the pole speed is dupe athletic relative
15:56 hidden echo sleeping on the bed! that one was really well hidden
Nice job finding the Hidden Echo!

Echo, u can change tile on those suit dock with metal tile (if metal not an issue anymore). It gives movement speed and massive decor
Great idea.
I petition for the right to one of those cups of tea!!
I also wanted to make it known that I spotted your sneaky space bottle emptier Echo! 😮
NOOOOO! I’ll never forget you, Bob the nuclear generator :(
R.I.P Bob
Episode 16-17
3:38
Haha, love this.
Alot of people know about the Chernobyl Liquidators. Well here we have the Echo Ridge Liquidators. The least you could do is compensate them with some extra rations, maybe a visit to the hot tub. He sent them in to do the dirty "clean up" work on the reactor. Good video.
Thanks so much echo I always enjoy these weekly ish episodes !
Keep up this amazing work!
I thought for a second this was part of the beginners guide, and thought it was a reasonable jump lol
20:06 Come on brian you can do it
59 seconds ago? Impossible!
I recently found out that manual/mechanized airlocks block bad decor. Maybe try those around your heavi-watt wire?
18:44 I burst out laughing! 😄
0:15 - I had a flashback to one of Luma's recent in-between episodes upon seeing the dupe in the rocket without O2. Good thing AngryForest has a benevolent overlord, otherwise he'd be loooong dead :D
Love the videos. Thank you.
Thank you.
Ah yes, the chernoybl style of stuff. Quick bursts of building before you die from radiation. 🤣 worked for them.
great as usual! I do wonder if the decor in hypertubes are ok though
Casual hazard of space employment, just every so often you get hit in the face by a blast of radiation. No biggie! Love the series :>
Have the only exit to the bedrooms be transit tubes that drop off right in front of the nature reserve. easiest way to be sure that they use it every day
Loved the way you scripted the episode today :) . Nice job
Thanks for another great upload echo!
Thank you Jack.
This was a very all over the place episode. But I don't mind.
It was a very nice one anyway. Since we're setting up for the future
Bob is good, Nuclear Sauna is good too, but Bob The Nuclear Sauna is even better
Mind = Blown. This is now a thing.
That comfy bed looks extracomfy :)
The random its gonne be mae joke killed me
Great series❤
Thank you.
I need material science, so I'm building a shine ranch, thanks for the great videos
Im curious to see in the future (if possible) some use of the Co2 geysers ^^ .
A suggestion: replace all manual airlocks with powered mechanical doors for faster dupe passing and less gas exchange.
I like this a lot.

Good news, wihth plastium, we can now put tubes inside the Bob.
If you are willing to give up some of the insulated tiles you can get the atmo suit decore up by using carpet
19:55 I was actually disappointed the first time I got to the radbolt engine, because it just doesn't have good height or rocket strength. Concur. Unless I can make relay stations throughout the starmap... :)
@@EchoRidgeGaming I've considered Relay stations before, but it just ends up getting too messy for me.
Space colonisation time ! I can't wait.
So much I have never seen before. I really hope I manage to get this level
You've got this!
18:45 Unexpected NSync jump scare lol

Yay! Another great video! My favorite part was the tickled tootsies. Squee! But I learned a thing or two also! Thanks, Echo! ❤
Lol, squee! Thank you.
Nothing better than dupes probably maybe getting some tea
Lol. Well, someone is getting tea! ha
JUSTICE FOR BOB
I will point out that I found an advanced rad pill while looking at the stuff in sandbox mode. No Idea how to make it or if it's like a rare drop from gravitas POI. But I've never found one in normal gameplay
Transport access point A should absolutely be renamed "Great Hall Station"... Just saying...
I second this motion!
What is this Granite method for creating Super Coolant you mention?
This is good
Great

Will the rocket start melt the transport pipe underneath it?
is it wrong to want a transit tube exit directly open over an exposed bit of abyssilite where the magma is exposed in case a dupe gets on my bad side? 👀
Just call the sauna Bob. If you create confusion there is going to be more comments which is great for the algorithm. And Bob would sound really fun.
This is a gold level response and idea. ha.
Should the triple water storage area be added to the space past the suit dock? or does the middle water not get to scalding
Middle water is instantly cooled now.
@@EchoRidgeGaming ahh so no scalding cool beans
My name was chosen :)
What's the granite method?!
"Nooo, we can't have duplicates!!?!?" pffttt
Imagine Echs if you had an editor all the content you could make
Oxygenate your rocket habitat and leave the dupe inside in a suit and it consumes no oxygen then you can ditch the oxygen/gas cargo module.
…… what the hell is the “granite method” of creating super coolant?
Haha, oops. Meant to say Graphite. Nice catch :)
I like your system to make everybody ill.
It really is a practiced skill.
why not use fertilizer over oxilite?
Need oxylite for oxygen not for oxidizing rocket.

replace sandstone tiles with plastic tiles anywhere that is under 160c for an extra movement buff. ;-) i always have TONS of plastic by midgame
Good call.
There's a mod to get rid of the long commutes message
👍

I accidentally left my base running for 2 hours and nothing went wrong I’m so happy
This is a great sign!
Noice
Also, let me correct the question in the outro - how much more content will you create *once* you have an editor? 😉
Roughly twice as much.
There is a mod to run the tubes like power wires and do turns in tight radius too. Cause tubes kinda suck with the way they are-- i mean I would use tubes if it wasn't for the gym... i mean super athletic dupe >> tube.
Why tea instead of espresso? Religious thing?
Not at all. I just like tea :)
I got hung up on why it was necessary for the achievement. :) Makes me wish we could farm mirth leaf for the little teapot ice melters coming in the new DLC -- I also love tea!
The discord link isnt working for me. Anyone else have this problem?
