2:22 Love that triangle quilt in the background too! I love doing my own versions of Freddy/Gwenny quilts from their Collaborative Quilting books. You learn a TON!!

Thank you for filming this! I’ve always wondered how to make a Wonky Star! (And Freddy is Fabulous!) ❤

This is my favourite "part" in the Freddy and Gwenny Parts Department. Freddy sounds hoarse and fragile in this video, but has been a real inspiration to me in both quilting (all that joie de vivre!) and in life (even more joie de vivre!). Freddy was around 80 the first time I took a class from her and at the time was I processing dealing with Alzheimer's in both my mother in law and my mother. She really blazed a path for me in believing a vibrant, working, artful (in every sense of that word) and cognitively healthy older age was real and possible. In quiet moments it is lovely to sew up a part or two, like this star or a set of strips, a flying geese or two, some zig zag borders...and by and by you have enough pieces to throw up on the design wall and create a free form quilt right then and there.

Freddy has been an inspiration for me too, and I believe for many more. She is an incredible human being, not matter she sounds fragile in reality she she is a strong freedom woman. Thanks for your comment and watch the video as well. ❤️❤️
