I tried the mirror thing with my rabbit.
At first she got intrested and starting smelling it. As she touch the rabbit she was seeing, she got frustrated and started biting the mirror.
After one week of repeated exercise with mirror she got used to it, and understood that it was just a reflection of her.
I think she was kinda smart

You can't pick it up as it can get scared and will start kicking in the air

If you are vegetarian like me then getting a rabbit is better as you need not bring much special food for it.

I found out the hard way that the scruff of the neck doesn't work on adult cats.
Was outside holding mine and another cat came over. Mine started freaking out because he hated other cats.
I tried grabbing by the scruff of the neck to stop him.
...ended up going to a hospital for what he did to my arm.

maybe you did it wrong? they don't have nerves there and that's how they get carried by their mother so either your cat is very sensitive or you did it wrong.

Probably in the moment he thought he was getting ambushed and freaked out.
The cannabis spider web was actually pretty smart, nearly as strong as the normal one with way less cost involved in making it. Probably a lot less food can get stuck onto it, but the upside is that in an open environment, the spider can build massive webs that could potentially have a better yield overall.

My cat, who recently passed away, had sort of an addiction to catnip. She had arthritis but we didn't know and she would beg for the stuff all the time because it relieved her of the pain for a while. It was odd to figure that out.

Cat cubs and kittens are so sensitive to touch in that neck area it's the reason why cats who have never worn a harness to go walking before are sometimes imobile which is why it's so easy to get a video of us dragging them along on their leash. It's not because they are being lazy it's because it's a strong reflex.
