  • Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried speaks to Forbes Digital Assets Director of Research Steven Ehrlich from the Bahamas.
Looking more tired and disheveled than usual, and without his trademark FTX T-shirt, Bankman-Fried sat down to try and explain what happened, who was at fault and whether anything could have stopped the sudden collapse of his exchange, whose valuation reached $32 billion.

Forbes has deliberately given SBF a public platform to make it difficult to prosecute later. It is important to note that Forbes have through the structured approach to these questions enabled a false narrative to be presented. Elements of this rehearsed public message such as:
    - allowing SBF to criticise the existing Executive and legal team with no challenge or push back on 'Sam why do you think you'd be trusted to fix this when you allowed monies to be paid out to local investors or when SBF allowed a backdoor to be created so Alameda could short markets'
    - allowing SBF to criticise Caroline and Alameda with no chance for her to comment - which is standard journalistic practice.
    - allowing SBF to suggest that CZ played FTX without referring to SBF''s contrived engagement with regulators to centralise crypto whilst securing a commercial advantage
    - avoiding the now publicly reported Substantial payments to MSM sources to tank specific coins.
    - allowing SBF to even suggest he could possible come back into the crypto sector.
Forbes showing it has lost its understanding of journalism and is just part of the bought MSM.

Its like if a bank robber robbed a bank, used the money to buy a yacht, and a bunch of luxury properties in the Bahamas, and then went to a casino and lost the rest of the money playing roulette. Then he goes around talking about how dumb he was to keep betting on black.

If I had done this same exact thing I would be extradited from the Bahamas and put in jail until my trial years later because I couldn't afford bail. I would be forced into taking a plea deal that goes against my best interest because I couldn't afford the millions to hire top defense lawyers.

That guy is too much for me. He says we need more oversight. For a jew, he does not even know the 10 commandments thou shalt not steal. That guy needs a reality check.
