Lightning damage in this game is absolutely GOATed. Almost nobody has resistance to it, lot of enemies have innate vulnerability and those that dont can be just splashed with water... all the while it gains massive damage boost from one of the best cleric subclass.
@@basedbear1605 Perilous Stakes' Vulnerability overwrites Immunity, but Magic Missile/Artistry of War + Phalar Aluve is generally still faster for killing him with this type of setup.
@@alliu6562 Once again, Perilous Stakes overwrites Immunity. But it wouldn't really be needed in the two cases you reference, as anything but a expediter, since neither of your examples has Thunder Immunity. Ansur has Lightning and Poison Immunity not Thunder; and Gortash has Resistance to non-magical Thunder damage not Immunity. Were you using Silence in the combats in question? Also the Wet condition has no effect on Thunder damage.
i had no idea this was where the titan was, i just cast invis on astarion and had him run to the control panel with the bomb so it never even lifted it up
on the second level of tempest cleric you get the ability to make your lightning and thunder damage from spells as high as possible + they’re vulnerable to lightning, so i think that’s why
@@chiffa37how does that work? I only understand the portent die reaction to some extent with attack rolls but not saving throws. The prompt said something about replacing it with something like a roll 20 but then it means they will succeed the saving throw right?

Yeah, Ansur is 100% resistant though. I had to change things up to finish him off.

Ansur and Gortash both have thunder immunity lol but otherwise yeah, it’s really strong especially when paired with water-generating spells

That showes the power that comes with thunder and lightning. Nice build.

haha - too funny
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening me!
That was wicked
0:58 Can anyone explain how chain lightning crits here?? I dont know how this is possible

@@МаркоБриль-х7й No but it requires spell dc, not spell hit... so it should never crit as only spell hit can crit.
@@GenevaCircle lol ok
Why two levels of wizard instead of one for this build? Given the purpose is to learn spells from scrolls
divination is OP for forcing fails on bosses' saving throws since there is no legendary resistances in this game

Is there a video about this build?
Holy Jesus 19k damage
No, 19k is impossible to reach, either that was 198 or 40, but the number were too close to each other so it looked like 19840

8 Draconic bloodline sorcerer, 2 wizard and 2 tempest cleric
