I took an 8 month break last year and it helped a lot but it is also a little different for me because when I play I am usually talking and interacting with twitch chat and it makes things a lot more fun regardless of what I am playing. Whatever you do don't force yourself to play when you arent feeling it because then you will start to despise playing.

Last I saw, they intend for the updates/dlc to come to console, but like... I wouldn't plan on it happening soon if it happens at all.
