I got clean from heroin in 1984. Kicked a 15yr. run COLD. Would nod out with Pink Floyd(Atom Heart) and would listen to it in my room for days. When I got clean, the song was still in my head. Lasted about 2 yrs. And when that song faded out then led Zeppelin(Stairway To Heaven) showed up and lasted for about a yr. Still clean and sober for over 26yrs. Love PF even more today. Keep on Truckin.

@@themariusnos I’m relatively young 24 I started to listen to Pink Floyd 2 years ago so it’s a nostalgia for me .by far it’s the best music I ever got the honor to hear , everything is in place a poetry lyrics full of meaning by roger amazing guitar by Gilmore and a solid backbone drum beats by nick and background organ and synth by Richard right everything is in it’s right place and order , yes no one can make this type of music anymore it’s been 40 years since they split and no one to this day filled the space they left behind a 1 in a millennia band

Go buy the movie "The Wall by Pink Floyd" or read about the Berlin Wall and you will know what the entire album is about. I am 15 years old and this is my all time favorite band, I know the backstory of every single song just off of research and common sense.

This was a great song 35-36 years ago when it first came out and it's still a great song..
All their songs are great! :) Pink Floyd are their own original genre, in my opinion. Nobody could top their style :) their music is so calming but classed as rock. I love them so much, they're my heroes.

Early 90's, this song came out in '79, but I know what you mean, I first heard it I thought it was an early 80's tune, especially with that either chorus or big ass delay effect goin', it sounds like something from '82-'83.
