Great! Cannot wait for your reviews of the final season of STD. I am expecting two things from the final season of STD: Burnham crying all the time and then saving the universe for the 3rd or 4th time.
@@UkdangermanReviews I suspect Kurtzman had an unbreakable contract. Huge penalties for firing him or cancelling his show. Les Moonves hated Star Trek. Basically give Kurtzman the keys.
@@sitoudien9816 Secret Hideout had an extended contract. They liked the fools so much at CBS they kept them on a bit longer. If you have watched anything CBS, most of the writers that appear in modern day trek write for all of the crime and drama shows, same with the producers, most of their credits are in the CBS family. Even JJ admitted he didn't like Trek and in my eyes tried to turn it into Star Wars.
Can't wait for your reviews! I doubt they'll change much in Season 5...I'm sure the writers are, to quote MacBeth, "Stepped in so far that should I wade no more, Returning were as tedious as go o'er"
I have no intention of watching this show at all. I tried, I really really tried up to the point Michelle Yeoh left. You are a far better man than me for putting yourself through torture.
Why they make Michael burnham cry, when no one ever does that in star trek. Could you imagine captain Janeway crying her eyes out in the crisis. Wtf 😂. The only thing i liked in discovery was the fight scenes.
Generic characters try to stop a series of generic plot points from happening in an overall generic season long story arc. The only valid question is ask is which elements from previous iterations are they going to use this time to add some easter eggs?
As a long-time trekkie, I really hated the first two episodes of Discovery… then they almost won me over: I liked the darker tone and the mysterious Captain Lorca… but it spiraled out of control fast into a dumb, logic-free woke propaganda show with laughable yet boring characters. Every season was a bit dummer and more annoying than the one before… so I stopped watching it after season 3, and only watched the odd review video from time to time. Believe me when I say: I couldn‘t care less what Michael, Silly and the gay drama queens are up to in season 5!
I've been going back and watching TOS. Besides the fact that it's very misogynistic I like it. It's pure science fiction. They didn't have CG, AI, and AR walls to put a lot of glitz in the shows back then. Now, that's about all we see and the story lines don't seem to matter as much. I like some of Discovery, but I'm not a super fan.
Interestingly enough, the final episode of Discovery will be "Life, itself". Probably another episode in which the series will once more fail miserably at creating a lasting impression. Oh, how I miss the old days when a main character wasn't the f****** reason why / solution to / savior of the universe we happen to know. I'm just an old dude, but I remember TNG's Tapestry quite fondly. Jean-Luc Picard: Q, even if you have been able to bring me back in time somehow, surely you must realize that any alteration in this timeline will have a profound impact on the future. Q: Please, spare me your egotistical musings on your pivotal role in history. Nothing you do here will cause the Federation to collapse or galaxies to explode. To be blunt, you're not that important. Finally, I hope that DIS has the same end credits as Galaxy Quest - If I hadn't stopped watching the show, this would be the chance to learn the names of the bridge crew at the end. ruclips.net/video/uwgauNfJffg/видео.html. DIS would probably just do a montage of CAPTAIN MICHAEL BURNHAM. End credits.
@@UkdangermanReviews I th ink they didn't have parents to teach them how to be emotionally mature about things. YOu were very up front that you don't like the series. If they chose to watch after you said that, it's their own fault.
What? There is one more season? I thought the last one when they saved "the galaxy" because something ate a planet from time to time was the last one to suffer through. Oh noooo......please noooo.
Princess Mike of Vulcan adds to her body count and cries MOAR! Turns out people want real heroes, not this villain and her cadre of accomplices. "Captain" Mike is only where she is b/c Daddy!Sarek had to buy her a job after college, then he turned around and colluded to put a psycho mass-murderer back on the streets? The USS Jock Itch can't crash into a sun soon enough! Good riddance to arrogant non-achievers and their sycophants. Honestly, the studio not telling these heffalumps that they'd pulled the plug on this disaster says all you need to know about this show and its "contributions" to the world of television.
R.I.P. Kenneth Mitchell, S1: Klingon war/Mirror Universe, S2: Red Angel mystery, S3: Rebuild the Federation, S4: Space anomaly, S5: Treasure hunt? This might be the worst season yet of post-modern Trek.
The trailer seems to be going back to the first two seasons, which is farcical in terms of its action. It seems to me Discovery is either absurd action or soap opera. It seems to have a particular distaste for any ideas or even any political ideas for that matter.
I just watched the trailer myself a few minutes ago. "Being a part of a crew, being where you're supposed to be is Starfleet!" .... What? So being at work is being Starfleet now? Jesus Christ 😂 Look I'm just here for your reviews of it, not watching this garbage. 😅
AI is just a computer program, and is therefore only as good as it's programming/ programmer (rubbish in = rubbish out). If this tripe is being scripted by AI, its programming is as overrun with "modern-audience" madness as are anyone on the show who might adjust it.
What a forgettable series. From someone who has watched Discovery all the way through, nothing stood out, no memorable moments (that were positive). I may have preferred Picard Season 3 if it were the first season with a potential TNG/VOY spin-off but sadly not to be. Watching Michael and her crew cry and smile while nonsense plays out on screen is torture. It's not even good Sci-fi. Flipping Sonar and shooting stars in space? give me a break Kurtzman!
I really can’t understand any real Star Trek fan loving this show. It’s slow, boring, way too emotional, predictable, shallow, devoid of humour and character development, full of telling and no showing and it has the worst lead in history, who only has 2 emotions. It’s either crying/whispering or stupidly smirking at other people. The crew is comprised of angsty teenagers and at least one of them suffers a mental breakdown in each episode. There are no consequences, no stakes and the message isn’t hidden in intelligently written sci-fi, no it’s in your face the whole time. There was so much potential with the 32nd century setting and they totally squandered it. They couldn’t even be bothered to show us Earth and the state of society, we only got a big tree in a garden. They stayed away from almost all familiar races and planets just because they don’t have any smart story ideas for them. A proper Star Trek writing team would have had a field day. In my opinion Michelle Paradise isn’t fit to be a Star Trek showrunner. She should be doing shallow reality shows about angsty teens or just a soap opera.
Can't wait for your reviews!

Spoiler alert: It's leaked that Tilly wins the Romulan Marathon starting 45 min after everyone else.
Thank god it is finally ending. I can't understand how this show even lasted five seasons.
It beggars belief. 🤣

i think Mr Spock sumarised the experience of watching Discovery best

Let's cry

STD should come out on April 1st, because it certainly is a joke.
Thank you for taking the hit on actually watching STD so we don't have to.
My pleasure..... Or pain. Yeah sure it's going to be pain 🤣🤣

The Michael Burnham show featuring Star Trek finally coming to an end. Huzzah!

Lots of nerves it would seem.

Yeah it's pretty basic.
Discovery season 5: My Big Fat Tilly Wedding. This would at least be somehow entertaining in a very wrong way.
🤣🤣🤣
Disco is back ,it's right there behind that small moon ........that is no moon !!!!!!
Tilly the Hutt is Back!!!
100% more tears, 200% less substance!
I hope this is "Season 5, The Apology".
I don't think they are self aware enough for that. 🤣
