ikr this is an old video but how do you make him work in the early stages? I ended up beating the first world in hardest difficulty (,i don't recall the name of the diff), but because i spent over 10k seeds already. Ended up with around 50 unspent constellation points. Seemed really one dimensional with only daggers and clones? does it get better as you unlock mastery?
It dfoes get better when you unlock mastery. It does also help to sometimes take RESET from exchanger so you can use more skill points on that as well.
@Mythraen roguelikes are games that have the procedurally generated levels that you fight through. They also tend to have note skill based combat. Roguelites are the same to some extent over and over again but have a mechanic that allow you to get stronger. Like meta progression and so forth. All the games in these "genres" are all similar. Bullet heaven, bullet hell, horde survival. It's all the same in the long run. In steam the game will however be found under the roguelite genre and bullet hell
@@BrokensPlayz Those certainly are potential definitions of rogue-like and rogue-lite, but I am not aware of any consensus on definitions for either. There was even a convention where people sat down and tried to define "rogue-like," and the end result was... not terribly promising. They ended with a definition, but then said not everything that was a rogue-like would fit it, and not everything that fit it was a rogue-like. Which... isn't much of a conclusion. Obviously, that's "rogue-like," but I believe the same problem applies to rogue-lites. In any case, this game is vastly different from Rogue Legacy, and yet they're both "rogue-lites." Rogue Legacy is also a platformer, which is also part of my point. How can it be genre: rogue-lite _and_ genre: platformer? That's why I said rogue-lite is a category more than a genre. Games in various genres can be rogue-lite. Not only that, but I don't think you can label anything as "rogue-lite" and stop there, which is another reason to think it's too broad to be a genre. You can definitely label a game a platformer and stop there. If you just meant where you find it on Steam? Well, that's another matter entirely. Edit: Actually, I think I could go for permadeath, meta-progession, and procedural generation as the definition of "rogue-lite," which obviously tells you basically nothing about the gameplay.
@Mythraen to be honest I haven't myself paid too much attention to all the finer details of the category or sub genre or anything like that. So I can't fully have a good debate on the topic at hand with you. What i do know is how steam tags the game though and that's all I generally go off of. The whole defining the genre story and is it roguelite or roguelike could prob be solved if they were defined in a better manner. Which like you said they can't do. Indo agree with you about the category though. Maybe it fits into a category more than a genre. I mean we currently have a "bullet heaven fest" event going on right now but some games in there are platformers ot first person melee combat games. It's like we as a community can't decide definitively what is what in genres and categories
this hero seems a little too op for my taste. usually I dont complain ever about stuff being too strong, it's just that in comparison to the other chars like thyra or axeldör, hansi deals 5-10x their dmg :D still a nice hero concept, jsut needs a little nerf.
Helga was extremely overpowered on release and got nerfed. I do see him being nerfed going forward. Also Axeldor is actually the strongest character without rerolling in the game
@@BrokensPlayz good to know, I was wrong then on axeldör, played him 3-4 times and he felt a bit weak so i stopped, guess i have to give it anotehr try :)
@@jonasbagaric3573 Stormbringer axes are great. Get damage, duration and projectiles on it and second ascension. You can finish any content with just that weapon
he's not that strong with Ragnorok in comparison to other characters toward the last wave/higher difficulties. Most of his skills are limited to single target and unable to do enough crowd control by then. The other starting weapon is also terrible ATM(same issue as the other AOE which only attack bosses ONCE per projectile and alot slower to chip the HP away). Limited to only two weapons with base constellation limited the character to more RNG based
@LazyCat I agree with his constellation being limited however his clear is no problem. His first weapon with crit damage and proj is amazing. Second ascension works of proj amount so the more you have the more enemies it effects

You can sell all health items like mead etc for gold without losing the heart, just fyi
Thank you 😊
Fred, his friends name was Fred, good video also btw
Now I need to get dirks shadow on missing with reset mwahaha
@@BrokensPlayz yep , would love to see RESET and CONNECT on that one... would be just crazy
Make it happen!

what is this game genre called ? it's like soulstone survivors or vampire survivors
Roguelite Is the official term I believe. Otherwise bullet heaven or reverse bullet hells as well 😄
@@BrokensPlayz "Rogue-lite" is more like a category of genres than a genre.
Those other two terms are common, as is "horde survival."

The hero is cool, but they can't kill Sindri and Brock because of a bug with infinite rebirth.😅
Infinite Rebirth is a ragnarok modifier is it not? So can just roll untill we dont get it and then kill them. Until the bug is fixed for now haha
The un-killable Sindri and Brock bug happens with all characters.
@@mattm8870 is it a ragnarok bug or happening in other modes?
@@BrokensPlayz Only played Ragnarok mode on the map so no idea.
@Matt M yeah then we need to try stay away from that reborn curse until its fixed
