i raced there one night in 1985, came late because of rain out at bootheel, hard drive to get there and was alone, lost a ramp on IH10 in a driving rain storm on the way, was told wrong on rules but when i got there i was allowed to run under one of those older track rules for the one time at that track, some of the racers helped me unload using a makeshift ramp, great bunch of guys there. i missed the prelims and started scratch on the feature, wrong gear, wrong tires etc, did well and made it up close to the front and got foot heavy and blew the engine. promoter thanked me for coming and paid a little extra for gas money, and the same guys helped me get loaded up. loved the track surface, kinda heavy and tacky and stayed that way. only wall i remember was on the front straight, the rest was open.
If you’re talking about the first heat race on Friday, the flagman made a mistake and it resulted in an extra lap being ran. The series goes off of scoring, not the flagman, so the extra lap was counted.
I want to do this also.i live close to a brand new track that hasn't been finished yet and the owner has fallen I'll.i hope I can work out a deal I'm in Ohio
