California is the best state in America. Toss the politics, and everything else aside. It's truly a beautiful place.

@@gianniferrari1122 Excuse me, but I see no reason to "toss the politics." Afterall, it IS a Blue State because it IS such a beautiful place with beautifully enlightened, kinder, wiser people governing it. I, personally, would have it no other way, I assure you. Blue states are always kinder, gentler and more beautiful places to be. It's no Alabama or Mississippi for a reason.
If you are reading this, it doesn't matter where you are right now on this planet, I wish you a wonderful night and a happy, peaceful life where all your dreams come true
The Lone Cypress on 17 Mile Drive. I've spent over half my 70 years, off and on, here. I lived in Pacific Grove on the western part of Marino Pines road, graduated from P.G. High School (Yeah Breakers!). Would go down to Asilomar on the few sunny summer days and belly board or to Lovers Point Beach and free dive amongst the kelp and sea otters. The water was colder than a well diggers elbow but I was a kid and was having to much fun. God, how I miss the Central Coast and the Coast Highway. From Moss Landing to Sand Dollar Beach, I knew it like the back of my hand🥰.
In my travels, there are a couple places that grabbed and overwhelmed me. The Kauai Cathedrals from both the top and bottom view, the perfect lagoons of Bora Bora and the view from the top of Yosemite Falls in winter. But the 17 Mile Dr and Point Lobos - which is the land in the video sticking out in the background - will always be special in my heart because I grew up just a few miles from there…it will always be home.
I hope you get to return soon! Pebble Beach sure is beautiful. The fresh air, the Monterey Cypress Trees, all of the nature... ahh 🤗🤗 What is your favorite part about it? 🌊✨
@@MyTranquilitee I love everything about it. It seems so different than the rest of Cali. It was so calming and peaceful, even the people that live there are so much more friendly and welcoming.
The water swells here are interesting to watch and also the swaying kelp in the water. Thanks for moving the camera around for different points of view too. Enjoying this a lot.🌊😄🦭
Gorgeous video! One of my favorite places. I was stationed at Fort Ord while serving in the Army Medical Corps. I'd go sit on Asilomar Beach in Pacific Grove and soak up the sun (if it was out), read, and enjoy the beauty. I'm a California native 💖
Hello from Sydney Australia! this is such a visually engaging view, and so aesthetically beautiful. I sit and watch this video often when having a cuppa or something to eat, and I never lose interest. I was stunned when one day I realised that there are little heads bobbing in the ocean. We Aussies have very few seal colonies on the east coast of our continent because they were mostly hunted out, so I've never seen seals in the wild like this. Californians are very lucky! another commenter mentions otters; can someone confirm what they are?
This part of California is so full of wildlife 🤗🤗 It's not uncommon to see lots of seals, sea lions and sea otters, too. Such a magical part of the world 🌊🤗✨💙
I love your videos! What a treat to see such beautiful places in the world and be reminded of the gift of the sea meeting the seashore. It's both soothing and stimulating and awe-inspiring. Thank you!!!!
What a stunningly beautiful place. And whoever lives in that house up there obviously made some smart decisions in their life. I’d like to learn from them! 😂
You have a great eye, Ken 🤗🤗 So glad you enjoyed this shot. We climbed down the edge of this part of Pebble Beach to get it. Always an adventure when you're looking for the best angle 🌊✨
Sea otters live in that area! Only one of the cutest things on Earth🥰 Also sea lions, harbor seals, gray whales, orcas, even blue whales offshore. It is near to very popular spots for SCUBA diving like Monterey Bay and Point Lobos Natural Preserve. Beautiful rockfish of many species. Sea anemones and other invertebrates. I got my SCUBA certification very near here, many decades ago. Water is veeeeerrrrrryyyy cold🥶
We have seen lots of sea otters, sea lions and harbor seals here as well as whales! I've heard, too, that there are lots of sharks. So much marine life in the Pebble Beach area 🐋💙
@@MyTranquilitee Yes, decades ago I did several scuba dives in kelp forests like in Monterey Bay. They were truly amazing - up to 100-feet tall! There were sea otters on the surface with babies on their tummies. Harbor seals would approach you in curiosity underwater. Sadly, since those dives, 90-95% of the kelp forest habitat along the California coast has disappeared due to several factors, including overpopulation of sea urchins. It's an almost unbelievable ecosystem collapse 😔 Kelp does grow very quickly though, so possibly not gone forever. California has been creating Marine Sanctuaries and another was recently proposed in August: "Today, following input from tribal nations, state and federal agencies, Indigenous communities, and the public, NOAA released a proposal to designate a 5,617-square-mile area offshore of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties in central California as Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary....Its unique features - including rocky intertidal zones, a submarine canyon, and upwellings of cold nutrient-rich seawater - are teeming with marine invertebrates, massive kelp forests, sea otters, harbor seals, whales, dolphins, important bird rookeries, and other marine life. Importantly, the proposed sanctuary sits between existing marine protected areas, creating ecological connectivity and protected corridors for fish and wildlife." Water clarity is always an issue diving on the West Coast. I went diving in Humboldt County one day and literally could not see my hand if held outstretched in front of me! So so cold too - I had to wear a super thick dive suit, which makes you more buoyant, so have to add a heavy weight belt to dive, then a buoyancy-compensating vest to be neutral once at depth. It's all enough to give you cramps before you even get in the water!
I had a friend you got a job working for a millionaire in PB: one older lady and her sister. Cooking, cleaning, etc., with a gorgeous ocean view, and her very own cottage on the property. I will never understand why she left...
⚜Maybe it's just me, but I find the following RUclips video pairs very well with this one. The caption reads: 2 hours of early 1900s music played on a 1914 Victrola⚜
That is so cool! It does pair very well. Thank you for the tip 🤗🤗

@@MyTranquilitee You're welcome! I'm glad you like it. I often, will pair videos and save them as a package in my email account, so I can revisit them later. Yours and the old-time music are one such package I will really enjoy, many times over! Thank you so much! BTW~ wouldn't it be nice to live in that house up on that bluff? Every time you walked out in the yard, it would be like a vacation holiday! Did you, yourself, come here and film the view? One other idea, would be to turn the camera to the right every now and then, just as if you would naturally, turn to look that way, while actually, sitting there. ~James🌠
That's so cool, James! What a great idea. I never noticed how different music pairs so well with these scenes 🤗🤗 This area is one of my favorites, out in Pebble Beach. The view with the tree is so unique. My partner found this special view down by the sea rocks. The next time he and I are over there we will see if we can get the view looking out to sea 🌊🤗 I 100% agree! Living out there would be a dream 🤩🤩 Wishing you a Happy Friday!
