- The last episode was so much we had to bring it back, but this time we have help from YOU! We respond to all the listener submitted overrated/ underrated answers and get into many debates along the way. This episode is packed full of movie recommendations so tune in because this one is a lot of fun!
Love that Microwave Massacre Midnight Video poster in the background! lol what a weird movie. My most overrated horror movies:
- The Lost Boys (Fright Night is 100x better)
- Hereditary
- Creepshow (I like a couple segments and the art for the poster but the stories tend to drag imo)
- ANOES (Nancy and her friends just aren’t interesting enough and therefore bring the other great parts of the movie down, which is why Dream Warriors is the superior movie).
- Jennifer’s Body isn’t good imo but I don’t hate it. It’s pop horror or gateway horror, but I see a lot of people who are over the top in praising it, so I feel like I need to put it in its place. It feels very bland. And if I don’t like characters and dialogue, it’s not going to get praise. The writing is just like Juno to me, where watching it back I feel like I’m not rooting for anyone. And the horror elements are very much capitalizing on the hot girl being evil. Kinda tired of it. And I think there is a valid criticism when saying that girls who are distractingly attractive need to put in a very convincing performance outside of being a mean girl or other trope for hot girls. Like Linnea Quigley as trash is iconic still because she played an out there character and so her getting naked isn’t even the best part of that character. Megan Fox doesn’t give a good enough performance to think of her anything besides a very attractive girl imo.

Damn wish you had sent these in before the episode lol. I don’t agree with them all (Lost Boys, Hereditary) but the rest I see your points on. ANOES 3 is definitely best of the franchise for many reasons. Thanks so much for tuning in dude!

I've tried watching The VVitch 3 times, most recent attempt, I got through 50 minutes before turning it off. Couldn't get into it at all
Dang! I don’t get when people say that haha. Maybe try watching with subtitles because the dialogue is a lot to digest without them. I felt the same but after I knew what they were saying it was much easier to get into
Imo F13 part 1 overrated..
Yea I’d agree with that. It’s legendary for starting the franchise but far from the best
