Thank you for another good one! Scott, you went after those $75 x 2 bolts because YOU COULD and would NOT let them beat you. You never take NO for an answer. Listen, your editing is something else and you should receive a SAG award. Between your projects, your knowledge & ability, educational speaking manner, you are a win all around. Fords when they were built in Britain at Dagenham had the same rust problems and were known as Dagenham Dustbins (trash cans in American), I think maybe they are a little better now as they are 95% plastic and come from Belgium or some other European disposal point. You have my respect and admiration for the work you and the afternoon crew do and thanks for sharing your talents with us.

As always, another excellent video! I must admit that all manufacturers have their pros and cons but I still choose to hate on Ford for one primary reason and it is the difficulty of finding parts. Looking for a simple dipstick or an ABS sensor etc? Year, make model and sometimes engine size for all other manufactures and any parts store can handle it. Ford? Oh no! Year, model, month, which plant, day of week, hour of day, was it leap year, VIN number, cage code, blood sample, first born, much cussing and threats of violence and maybe you'll eventually acquire a part. ..even then it's usually the wrong one.
It's nice to be reminded why I like GM. The engineering is better and more thought out. It's like they think of the end user or the mechanic or something.
I know why the crash bar is weld and bolted. I work at the ford assembly that built that and worked that job installing the crash bar. Its weld because when its installed its pull on a rack with the inner dash structure as it goes down the the line. The front frame structure is added and a robot picks all the pieces aligns everything up and welds them as one. The bolts dont get added till the end on the line in body before paint
That still doesn't explain the bolts. Why not more welds? Why put bolts in? It's not like you can remove the part by removing them. It's a Ford thing, I guess I just don't understand. lol So I make fun of it, just like the stupid glued on fenders! Some of the F250s have so much glue you can ruin a fender trying to remove them. Silly Ford!
Nice job I was wondering would getting parts from the south somewhere I'm not talking way down for the right price that is. I know the parts may not be as rusty and that would be a lot better I think.
YES. Go back to the Mustang. I see that vtuned is getting ahead of you with his 66 Mustang retro-mod. He's already cut the front off the 66. I'm interested to see what you do to your 65 to fit all the newer parts.
As the former owner of two 5.0L Fords: 1996 F150 & 1987 Grand Marquis, that both suffered from oil pans that rusted out from the INSIDE, you can't hurt my feelings. Ford dealerships acknowledged the problems as bad steel. Ford Corporate, not so consumer friendly. But knowing all this, I still put a 5.0L in my 1976 Jeep resto-mod. It's a good engine, just suffers from bad supplier parts. I can't speak to any of the other problems with Fords, but I've owned cars/truck/suv's from the Big 3.
Hello! Noche video. Can you tell me please what’s the name of the piece you disconected in minute 2:30 (from the bumper support)? I just have the cable harness w/o the connector to that part, I don’t know how to search it online
Several Boring Build Fridays ago you showcased a OBDII code scanner. I need one now that somehow I lost mine, but for the life of me I can't find where you listed the make model of it. Can you point me in the right direction? Much love from Arkansas, where even Fords don't rust. Well not that much, at least.

I try to get parts from the south but since this had to be 4wd the odds of finding them are slim.
Good job. Maybe some Ford parts will show up aftermarket....
They will eventually as the vehicles get older.
Great Project & Safety First 🤓
Thanks
I see why you have the love for Furds
I like to struggle! lol
YES. Go back to the Mustang. I see that vtuned is getting ahead of you with his 66 Mustang retro-mod. He's already cut the front off the 66. I'm interested to see what you do to your 65 to fit all the newer parts.
I do things when I have time, he will be done long before me.
Another ok boring build Friday video. Always look forward to them. BTW, is this your day job? If not what is?
Thanks, this is a hobby. I am a mechanic in real life.

Much love from Arkansas, where even Fords don't rust. Well not that much, at least.
