My 07 sti engine blew due to a bad Subaru oil pick up, 1st thing on the rebuild list was a killer B oil pan and pick up, I like the extra oil capacity!

I got 60k on my '16wrx and had the valve cover gaskets replaced, especially the spark plug wells. They had turned to brittle plastic and had oil in the wells. Subies are great, just gotta keep up on the maintenance

I have an 06 WRX, currently its just sitting due to blown 4th cylinder. Any advice you'll give on what to do or should not do when doing a rebuild or going short block route??

I think doing a complete new short block is the move! Seems to be a better bang for the buck at the end of it if you want to make some good power
