KAPARKAN FALLS • Spring Terraces of Abra

Nestled in the forest wonderland of Abra is the infamous Kaparkan Falls Spring Terraces. Also known by locals as "Mulawin Falls", its refreshing ice-cold spring waters and unique terraced cascades have drawn tourists and nature lovers into this hidden paradise.
While, Kaparkan can be accessed by a 6x6 truck nowadays we still opted for trekking and stayed overnight. The upstream side of Kaparkan is where the infamous terraced cascades can be seen with water just below knee-level perfect for just dipping. As we explored further downstream, we saw deep bluewater lagoons and waterfalls that were high enough to do cliff diving and swimming. But the highlight can be found at the end, the Mother Falls, about 30-meters high which drains towards the Tineg River. Watch out for the whole vlog.
The best month to visit Kaparkan is during the rainy season from June to December as the waterfalls run dry during the summer months. Always check updates so you won't get disappointed going there!
