Another project that's been under the bench for some time. Somehow managed to end up with two Bachmann class 44 body shells and one chassis!!
This time converting a standard class 44 (1 - 8) into 44009 with the different side grilles and the odd one of the lot because it has discs at one end and route indicator box at the other end!!

Good going and well done! Seeing the job though can be the hardest thing to do some times. I had a few projects I simply abandoned as my interests changed in the year or so that the project had stalled. . It was a waste of money so now I have a golden rule. No more than three projects on the go at any one time.

Back to Green.
Green was my favourite era although we did a lot with Blue and dreadful Yellow😎, and Silver with go faster Red stripes, (never caught on with me ).

The desire to create something different has never prevented me from taking a knife to a perfectly good model or kit!!

I'm guessing you're just a few years my senior? Blue was the dominant colour on the Railway when I was growing up, and therefore my main interest, as green is yours.

That was class 45s dumped after withdrawal last one being towed off March in 1994. Class 44s were withdrawn 1976-1980 all scrapped at Derby Works 44004/08 preserved.

Having just discovered your channel a few days ago I like the look of the JLC saw you use in these videos. Did you buy it from the UK? All I can find is direct from the Czech Republic through eBay.
Nice model. A lot of intricate work went into that. Which contact adhesive are you using?, if you don't mind me asking.
Araldite or its new name Diall is my go to 2 part epoxy resin glue. Unibond or whatever B&Q are selling is the contact adhesive I use. Various different types over the years, they all seem to do the job.
I sometimes use UHU or other gummy glues for other non permanent stuff.
