Those blue trucks are probably the best trucks out there - they are Walmart 3 million driver trucks - awarded to drivers that reach 3 million safe miles - built specifically for that driver - best maintenance programs - fully loaded - if you were to open the glove box, you would see the plate from Freightliner
Please keep in mind that antifreeze, like transmission fluid expands and contracts as it heats up and cools. It may look low but will more than likely be right on the money when it's at operating temperature.
when you see that the coollant is almost full just remember that the truck has coolant sitting in the engine so when you start running it it'll probably go up to full
A blue Walmart truck was a special order for a driver who went over 3 million accident free miles. You know that driver went easy on the truck and Walmart has the best maintenance program of any large flleet that I know. All easy miles and great maintenance? NO BRAINER on that truck!
@@gamo8510 yes you can have them made into any engine swap you want. But the only reliable ones are Cummins, series 60 n 3406's n c15 single turbo. But reliable cheaper to fix and availability of parts old Detroit series 60 n Cummins.
1:29 no it's not. Thats why there is a hash mark COLD MAX. 4:19 yes. ENG light is on - no good. Possible problem with ATCM. May be DEF level is low. 8:40 DEF is a mandatory for ALL trucks. You won't be able to drive a truck without DEF. It's underneath the step. 9:36 nothing is wrong with the engine. It's just batteries are low. There is enough juice to lit the dash but not enough to crank the engine. Check batteries voltage and CCA. Didn't watch afetr that but my pick would be on these two blue walmart brothers
Thank you that will help me to find my rig. I have a question. Do you know if there is any web page like cargurus, kbb , or other website to find semi trucks for sale?
Well hate to tell you this is another doesn’t know what he is looking at. The “glider” was a Wal Mart truck and first two years of Cascadias had 60 series Detroit’s
Either the second blue truck had the engine replaced or they didn’t replace the filter on the engine it’s red with the sticker that is from factory and hasn’t been changed
I wouldnt go off the coolant level myself all they have to do is fill it up and u wouldnt know.. i would have a mechanic come to the auction and look with me thats a big chunk of cash and u get a lemon your screwed
CAJ >> Where's this auction - city & state?? Are there aftermarket warranty offering companies for big trucks (tractors), like there are for cars??? Do you know or heard of any???
If your really interested in a truck pull the dip stick - if the oil is not fresh just warm it up for a minute and pull an oil sample and take it to cat for analysis....
I start driving school at the end of the month but i have no experience driving sticks. I am nervous about it, but I am going to try to stick with it until the last minute. How much do drivers really make first out of school?🤔
Automatics are becoming more and more prevalent. I prefer a stick because some of the automatics I've driven shift when I'm not ready to shift, or take all day to get away from a stop light. Sticks aren't difficult and like many things become second nature in time. MONEY. Don't worry about making money for the first year. You'll probably make $35K to $45K your first year (that's a WAG...wild assed guess), but you'll have road expenses. Get a rewards card from Loves, or Pilot, or wherever you are allowed to get fuel. You'll earn points and shower credits. You are buying the experience during the first year so keep your license clean (NO tickets), stay accident free (even non-chargable), and keep your CSA score in good shape. You CSA gets dinged for tickets, crashes, and when the inspector finds stuff wrong with your truck or paperwork in an inspection. My advice is to stay on top of defects like lights, brakes, air leaks, tires and placards if you haul hazmat. Of course, elogs keep you legal, but you should know how to forward them to the officer. There should be instructions in the truck for that. An empty (or missing) fire extinguisher and (missing) triangles will cost you CSA points. Keep your truck clean and orderly, it DOES make an impression. Let the inspector ask the questions and stay quiet otherwise. He's doing his/her job and assessing you at the same time. Have your shipping papers ready to show. After you get through that first year, you can go almost anywhere as a driver. Keep in mind there are truckload carriers where you go get the load and deliver it somewhere else. You might be away from home for days to months at a time. Then there are Less Than Truckload (LTL) carriers who carry lots of small shipments on a trailer..or two. Generally, you drive from one of their terminals to another or to a meet point where you trade trailers with a driver coming from the other direction. The freight goes on to the next terminal, you both go back home. Money and benefits are usually much better in LTL than truckload, especially if you consider time away from home. Get a CB for your truck. Many drivers say they don't need them, but I have heard of incidents and crashes up ahead and been able to detour and save A LOT of time. You don't have to talk a lot or know any special lingo. Just listen. Speak up if you want...but remember guys will try to start a conversation and it could go where you don't want to go. Use your common sense.
@9:15 I don't know how you can dismissively say it's not the batteries: there could be enough power in the batteries to power the idiot lights but not crank the engine. Best get a long breaker bar with the socket that could fit over the harmonic balancer and see if you can turn the engine by hand before condemning it.
the video tells the story. it says lease trucks. this shows you that anybody who leases one they will ever own it. do not fall for the company's bull and lease. you will never drive for them long enough to own it.
Andrew you have no knowledge about engines you watching emission trucks and calling them glider didn't you see all the emission components on the engines and the full green bar of def fluids in the fuel gage. also you can do a abuse report on cummins and ddec report on dd16
I agree with you, the only thing that eventually more states are believing that we need to help the planet and they are following California emissions steps. I agree glyders are good. 👍
You have no business buying trucks. Pay a mechanic to go look at them with you!I say that because you spend the least amount of time looking at the most expensive part of the trucks!
Those blue trucks are probably the best trucks out there - they are Walmart 3 million driver trucks - awarded to drivers that reach 3 million safe miles - built specifically for that driver - best maintenance programs - fully loaded - if you were to open the glove box, you would see the plate from Freightliner

You better get one of them Walmart trucks they sell. They are well taken care of. The Apu is in great shape too.
Amen all them blue number trucks are WALMART, Plus maintenance is crazy good on them!!!! I meed a few to add to my fleet frfr
Please keep in mind that antifreeze, like transmission fluid expands and contracts as it heats up and cools. It may look low but will more than likely be right on the money when it's at operating temperature.
Battery dead on the blue truck. Motor good. And def was in the truck too. Pull the chrome plate on driver step is where you put the def
Cummins can come in any truck maker...its the only engine left that come in any truck...even a volvo can have a Cummins
when you see that the coollant is almost full just remember that the truck has coolant sitting in the engine so when you start running it it'll probably go up to full
where this trucks are located to came to see and when i like
That was a really good tip about the coolant.

@@paladin3116 They often sell them at auctions like Ritchie Bros. Keep an eye on Ritchie Bros web site
Those blue cascadia’s wasn’t gliders, u had to pull the lil compartment door by the steps to get to the def tank
I said the same thing..there are no isx that will be a glider...only the N14 ...
look like walmart trucks
You can even see the def light in the dash lol

The def tank is under the cab steps on those blue freightliner

then how are all these truckers running with deletes then?
Def is not mandatory glider trucks are a thing
Just look at the turbo and you can tell if a truck has def or not if you can't find the DEF tank the blue Freightliners are definitely def trucks
Or go on Rig Dig and get the records just like a carfax. Gives you the records of all companies owned it, accidents, inspections, etc.
Thank you that will help me to find my rig. I have a question. Do you know if there is any web page like cargurus, kbb , or other website to find semi trucks for sale?
The blue Freightliners were Walmart trucks too
Taylor and Martin auctions are nation wide check on line for locations and times

A glider 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i asure you it’s not.....I’ve seen a few vids of dudes in the auction and most don’t know what they’re even looking at.
Well hate to tell you this is another doesn’t know what he is looking at. The “glider” was a Wal Mart truck and first two years of Cascadias had 60 series Detroit’s
Andrew, did you ever figure out what caused the coolant loss? Mine does about the same thing
Are auctions like this all out in the mid-west / east coast? I tried searching for some in CA, didn't see anything.
Why don't you like dd13 and dd15's? What's wrong with them? What do you think of the D13 Volvo?
Those blue cascadias were old walmart fleet
Coolant level rises when the engine heats up
Either the second blue truck had the engine replaced or they didn’t replace the filter on the engine it’s red with the sticker that is from factory and hasn’t been changed
