I followed for 2 years your advice and nothing worked , I know he got engaged his sister told me more than 6 months ago since then I avoided any contact with his family or checking his social media bc it is painful for me to see him pretending to be happy We were together for more than 10 years, at this point I don’t understand what really happen it’s crazy !
I know that is painful. After ten years together…it seems the life cycle of your relationship has ended. What we often don’t like to admit…is nothing lasts forever. I’m a widow and can tell you that even loving and getting married doesn’t mean you will always be together. Death happens, divorce, or just an two people go their separate ways. What I can tell you is its best to appreciate the love and journey you had…and when it’s over…try to heal, love CAN come again in a new way. And many times…with someone new.

I am sorry she’s an ungrateful person. Let her try to be happy without you. Give her what she wants let her go. And believe me she will be back, but give her what she wants and see how happy she will be

My ex and I dated for a year and a half. Part of that time I was abroad for school for 4 months. Early on we both knew we’d have back to back semesters abroad but we were ready for that challenge. However at the end of December it was too much and she broke up with me but said she’d be open to us trying again, and just the other day she texted me saying she thinks it’s best we just stay separated permanently. She’ll be back from her study abroad in 4 months, and she said she wants to return my things to me and part ways once we both get back to university. Is there any hope she’ll change her mind and want to try again after all? Given some time?
