I recently relocated and built a small bedroom studio and now all I want to do is record and free all these songs stuck in my head :)). I'm completely solo and am teaching myself audio production. Most people wander in darkness, because their soul doesn't shine. In life it sometimes can feel as if we drown in darkness, because we are just like a candle in endless dark space. But there are other candles out there, whose lights shine bright and strong. You are like one of these candles out there. Maybe you feel sad or lonely at times, but this is just because you can't see your own light. But believe me, your light shines bright and strong - no matter what!

But I don't want to push you, so that is why I gave you room since my last comment. I would have liked to write you more or sooner than I do right now. There is so much I would like to tell you or want to talk about with you. It is not about getting your personal contact, because the actual way has its own charm What I will write now is just one thing of so many things I would like to write about, so I had to make a decision to choose from. In ancient Greek times there was a believe that poets are connected to the Gods (the source of wisdom) and therefore lyrics became the form of spoken or sung truth. Over time the ancient Greek societies became more and more sophisticated about this believe. They realized that you could be connected to the Gods, being able to receive their wisdom, without being able to find the proper words to express it. As a result they divided what formerly was unified in the person of the poets of older times. Promantes were receiving the wisdom of the Gods (quite often they just were connected to one specific God) and the prophetes were expressing it in the language of truth. In the classic ancient Greek era the public just got the expressions of prophetes. But some so called sophistes started to change the understanding of this believe. I just call the name of one of them to honor his part of the process: Anaxagoras. Another guy, Sokrates, became famous for one reason: He taught that the source of wisdom is not an external thing and everybody is connected to this source and therefore everybody potentially could get access to wisdom. But he didn't quit the idea of separating the source from the ability to handle it. In German we have two words I cannot find a proper translation for, so I call it in German: "Vernunft" and "Verstand". If I do not remember wrong, the ancient Greek names were "Nous" and "Logos". I am using the German names, because there I know what I am talking about. The ability to get access to wisdom is called "Vernunft", while "Verstand" names the ability to handle it properly, to understand it or to lay out the truth. And thats it, what I wanted to write so far. I don't want to teach you, just wanted to share something I found on my own way. Who am I to teach you? You already are better than me in what you are doing. I am already sure that your success is unavoidable! I simply experienced some major issues with being me, being human, understanding myself and my own feelings in the past. There were and still are so many companions I have met alongside my path, some I have met personally, some already are dead for centuries. It doesn't matter when we are born. Time doesn't matter. It’s fun and edifying for a change to have someone in the comment section be so thoughtful in what they say. Unfortunately, these past two months I was sick twice with a cold/covid which delayed my next release as I was unable to record vocals. However, I believe I am now fully recovered to finish singing for this next track and I assure you that I’ve been keeping busy on other projects despite being ill. As for what you’ve written of - “Vernunft” and “Verstand” - I’m fascinated. I think there is definitely something to be said about the interconnectedness the poet feels with the spirit/universal truths/gods. Even though this link is hard to fully articulate and was spoken more about in ancient, pre-Enlightenment times, that does not detract from its presence that I know it to be eternal and found anywhere in art that is true to the artist. I will strive to hone in on my “Verstand” and I thank you again for sharing this with me! Also, don’t worry about pushing me and writing over time. I’ll respond whenever I am free. There is no “better.” I believe all humans at their deepest level have access to “Vernunft” in some capacity and there are always ever-varying obstacles each of us has in life - it sounds like you are working through yours quite well! Sometimes you have to accept obstacles as they are, not being able to do anything about. I don't want you to get a false impression of me being somewhat superior in handling obstacles. I am not even good in accepting things as they are. Sure, accepting isn't everything and sometimes it isn't even easy to know what exactly has to be accepted. Now we have this point out of the way, let's talk about what is important to me. I am sorry that you were ill for such a long time. Please take care for yourself and don't worry about my expectations. As I already mentioned, I am grateful, knowing you out there. Listening to your songs made me thinking about things that are important for and to me. One major aspect of my perception of things is my emotional response to everything. It is not about expressions, not about how I as a person respond, it is about a reverberation inside of me. I hope I got the right word, because I didn't just mean a passive reaction to what happens, to what I percept. It is the fulfillment of life, it is how life happens to me. Meeting people to me is not about the physical event, it is about this emotional response, about the reverberation of somebody inside of me, making me aware of somebody out there. I guess you know what I am talking about, because everything I have written to you so far, in every comment, is a simple reaction to this experience. Once I was on my way to University, maybe a little bit in hurry as many people around me. Somewhere I could hear somebody playing an instrument (I guess it was a flute or transverse flute). The world felt empty around me, even there were so many people, but listening to this play it was like another light out there - a caller in the empty night. Everybody was just passing by, as if they weren't able to see that there is somebody out there. A friend often said, that most people are just simulations. That is not how I see, nor want to see anybody. But what I can't negate is my own experience of emptiness in contact with so many people - so many people. So life quite often feels like the world is full of simulations and just sometimes you really see somebody. That is why I said that I see you. I see you.
