This sense of yearning in this song.makes me think of one of my favourite hymns: Spirit of God, descend upon my heart". The 2nd stanza is especially moving for me, as I listen for the still, small voice of God: I ask no dream, no prophet ecstasies, no sudden rending of the veil of clay, no angel visitant, no opening skies; but take the dimness of my soul away.

Whats more important than being concerned with having people there to sing with you is the fact that we sing praises to the King of all kings. Plus GOD does not care how beautifully we sing it's the fact we are praising HIM, thats the music to HIS ears. Yes, we like to have the hymnal part of our service and we like the hymn sings and going to gospel concerts and singing along but, as Greater Vision sings, "GOD wants to hear YOU sing".
