Congrats girl ! They def aren’t required but my baby seems to like them she smiles and her face looks relaxed when I do them. There are a lot of benefits to massages in general so I can only believe they do more good. I do them to loosen any tightness she might have and to get blood flowing. Also tummy rubs to get her bowels moving and to release any trapped gas.
